I complained loudly about Brown's 'coronation'.

Like millions of others I voted Tony Blair in and I expected him to serve as PM.

The labour parties demise starts there.

So your poor judgment isn't a recent thing then.

Not quite yet but it is becoming more and more likely. This is what I truly struggle to understand about Remainers. It is like they are blind to how much anger is out there. As though they are so mypoic in their outlook that they cannot comprehend the simple reality of how the votes on June 23rd were cast. Of how 52 beats 48 in terms of a percentage. And no matter how much caterwauling or dismissing or mocking they want to pour on that, the result stands and is not going away. It has to be honoured.

We have to leave. We should have done so already and if we miss this October 31st deadline then I see no reason why our system of Governance should be given a third chance.

Come November 1st, then we might well be a broken country if a GE has not been called.

Of those 52% who voted, how many voted for a no deal Brexit ? How many now feel conned by the politicians who told them we'd be better off and have the easiest trade deal in history ?

This is what I find so frustrating about leavers. Yes, the leave campaign won. However, many of the very promises that won them the vote have turned out to be unachievable. I'd be angry if I was promised rainbows and unicorns and it turns out that isn't going to happen. This irrational anger at the people who are trying to stop a no deal, who frankly have access to more knowledge than any person on this forum, is absolutely ridiculous.

I do think there is a strong case to be made for making it compulsory that if an MP switches parties then it should trigger an immediate by-election or if a PM resigns, a similar process to trigger a new GE should take place. My only qualm about that would be in the case of an assination or similar unexpected event.

With respect, you are talking a load of bollocks.

Proper Brexit is not happening because it is being blocked by Remainers. There can be no assessment of a post Brexit Britain of any form until it actually happens and time elapses thereafter.

None. The 52% voted Leave. As I have said before there is a case to be made for a second vote on the type of Leave. Say a deal v no deal. I would vent and fume about it and call people all sorts of names but at the end of the day it would have legitimacy of a sort because ultimately there would be one less star on that s***ty flag, as was voted for on June 23rd.

But that aint what you want is it? You want the losing option to be given another go up against a deal which is s***tier than staying in. All I ask for is honesty around that.

So you'd like to crash out without a deal and then re assess after the fact ?

'Proper Brexit' was definitely not on the ballot paper. I do wonder how many types of Brexit there are now...

I want Walkers to come out with a 'real Brexit' favour....'remain' and 'May's deal'.

Only three that matter. May's deal which was rejected, Boris's deal that we have not seen yet or no deal, which is the default voted on by Parliament when it enacted the A50 legislation.

But Leave means Leave, no matter what. Remain is was rejected on June 23rd. It lost. Was discarded. Accept that and I am willing to discuss what variety of leave we should go with. But beyond that? Nah. You just want a second bite of the cherry. It don't work like that.

So 52% voted Leave, and within that 52% you have millions of people with a different view on how Brexit would happen. That 52% would have included a lot of people whose decision was close either way. This vote is now being hijacked by hard line Brexiteer's who are trying to tell people that this is what they voted for and blaming the EU for not giving them the trade deal they promised without having the knowledge it could be agreed.

A deal is not compulsory. That was never on the ballot paper. Leave or Remain was. Remain lost. The only valid debate is over the type of Leave but we should be out now. Extending it anymore only creates more uncertainty and upheaval.

Be honest. You want A50 revoked. Be a Lib-Dem and sing that from the rooftops. But please don't insult our intelligence by hiding that.

Leaving was not compulsory. It was an advisory referendum.
