Why don't you go further and simply propose that we disenfranchise everyone who disagrees with your views?

Plus you could get everyone to wear nice, black shirts and parade in front of you, bearing flags and making special salutes in your honour.

Yes, I agree with you, they let me down. Had I been able to vote, as I was desperate to do, I would have been the first person into the polling station, like my brothers. Perhaps the relatively low turn out could be attributed to things such as:
Older people having more spare time in general. This is particularly relevant to those who have retired.
It is also very hard to identify with politicians who do not represent my age group.
I feel that young people were not concerned enough about the referendum as no one expected this outcome.

Why do people seem to assume that the minute you retire you turn into some sort of dribbling geriatric with no idea what's going on?

After 46 years of continuous working life - most of it spent in the financial services sector - I resent this implication that I am not capable of making any sort of informed choice, other than which dinner to have delivered by meals on wheels.

I would certainly maintain that I have a better grasp of international and home economics than any 16 year old who has never had pay their own way in real life or to manage more than their pocket money! And when they actually contribute financially to this country then they too can have a say and not before!

You don't want the old making decision that affect your children's future? Well, I certainly don't want anyone's children making decisions on mine.

Yours

Granny Grunt!

I'm hoping you're not being serious, Kermie.

The main reason why you can't vote before 18 is because you don't know your arse from your elbow. I'd raise it to 21 if I could.
Admittedly, age is no guarantee of wisdom but it helps.

Old people are much undervalued in Britain. In other cultures they are held in high esteem.

Good day for me. Had £500 at 4/1 on leave. Had a few quid in dollars in my safe that has now been deposited into my account and Dufus David resigns.
About time we put our own country first, giving handouts to feed corrupt governments had to stop.
Well done all those that voted leave.

That's not going to stop anytime soon. A different issue to the referendum

So the people who celebrate Independence like no other think we are stupid.
I don't really think we need lessons in politics from America do you?

Seems a little incongruous to me to attack the outers if you didn't actually vote - and everything I've read suggests that the turnout was quite high.
