Fellow palace fans, I haven't posted on here for years and have a question.

There has been lots of talk recently about a second referendum on Brexit, a people's vote etc.

Whether you voted remain or leave last time, have any of your changed your mind?

Say the choice was
1) Leave with no deal and the predicted fallout happens
2) Remain on the same terms as pre 23 June 2016

Would any of your vote differently to how you did the first time around?

I think it would have to make a much bigger payment into the EU than it does now. Also, teh EU has just signed massive trade deals with the US and Japan. The UK issue is seen as an irritating admin issue now, a bit like a mosquito bite, soon disappears.

I think it would have to make a much bigger payment into the EU than it does now. Also, teh EU has just signed massive trade deals with the US and Japan. The UK issue is seen as an irritating admin issue now, a bit like a mosquito bite, soon disappears.

It really looks like it would be beneficial for EU to have the UK limited paid access to the single market without the veto or any say in how things are run. Thus protecting the integrity of the single market and disposing of a perpetual pain in the arse at the same time.

Fantasy land? The EU deals with the US and Japan have been done. They are done deals. The UK hasn't agreed a single trade deal with an country at all since announcing it wants to leave the EU and even the government concedes that it will take years to agree any trade deals beyond 2019. When you have your head firmly buried in the sand as many do who voted to leave the EU and now regret that mistake but will never admit it, you start dreaming because your head is upside down and it's dark, very dark, all sorts of fantasies and dreams will appear as reality.

Regarding where I'm currently living, the current administration is against some of the immigration policies of the EU. They have no intention of leaving the EU or the Euro, the same for Italy. Both Austria and Italy are pushing for change within the EU, which has been a process ongoing since the EU's inception. It's always been an evolving trade block and union. At least Austria and Italy have the guts to push for change unlike the UK which simply has never been a team player unless it's guaranteed to win, a bit like the spoiled brat at school who thinks he/she is aways better than everyone else but on finding out reality is different, decides to try and ruin the toys of the other kids in a fit of jealousy. Enjoy your isolation after next year but reality looks like you'll be in limbo for years with the EU picking the best pieces of any deals as it has the trade deals with the rest of the world while enjoying the €50 billion penalty plus the many other €billions from the businesses that are moving or already have moved from the UK to the Eurozone. That's a risible point. We can't legally strike deals with foreign countries while we are apart of the EU.

'Foreign countries' want the EU single market.

The UK could never offer any of the advantages of the single market.

So trade deals there are none.

After we leave especially.
