Regards Moss, it has been suggested in this thread that he had a basic misunderstanding in the Law regarding the Lukaku free-kick.I cannot believe that any PL referee is lacking in this respect.It is clear that Moss felt that Delaney had made contact with Jagielka hence the award of a direct free-kick.

How is it clear? Has he said such? Keith Hackett seems to think he's made a huge cock up. It was obvious even in real time that he hadn't touched him, even Jagielka's reaction should have told him that - if he was unsure, I'm cartain the linesman could have helped clarify. It's a mistake, an honest mistake but a bad mistake nonetheless which is ultimately a key decision that he got wrong.

I suppose you are what used to be called an old fashioned conservative. You exist in a self deluded bubble where the police are actually like those in Dixon of dock green and authority figures (unless they are left leaning) are competent and worthy of respect. Now I don't doubt that refereeing the epl is a tough game and everyone makes mistakes. However, in this case the error was so glaring that Keith Hackett has gone on record to say moss should be stood down. Either he erred on the law; or he missed from close range a chasm between Delaney's boot and jagielka's head and the fact that the latter dipped his head to buy the free kick while Delaney clearly attempted to withdraw to avoid contact.

That's actually a very good point. You could argue that they were put off complaining because of the 2 bookings for arguing but that would be an excuse - there would be nothing wrong with the captain politely questioning it.

While I was as angry as the next man about the general refereeing performance of Moss in the Everton game and I'm often in disagreement with Willo the above bollox is far more grinding to me. Its not FACT is it,its your opinion in a similar way to the one that you are steaming into Willo for.We all know what it should have been and that would include Moss once he'd watched the replays but in real time it's completely different.You,Hackett or even Dixon of Dock Green would make mistakes in that or similar situations its called human error and its part and parcel of decision making without the necessary technology.Using "fact" on a forum when it quite obviously isn't is as much trolling as anything else designed to provoke a reaction. I don't think Willo is a troll in the same way I don't think you are.He may well enjoy the attention he gets from being controversial but I firmly believe his opinons are exactly that despite finding myself muttering out loud occasionally when I read them.
