I guess sharp enough to not tear soggy paper, but as it goes I didn't f**k any of it up with a pair of scissors and a bit of good eyesight

My first attempt at wallpapering back in the summer was in my box room. The wall which had a window and radiator on. Took me an entire afternoon to hang 3 bits!

When I was a young girl my Mother said to me.. You listen here kid you're CPFC

Please tell me you took the radiator off the wall!

I used to be fascinated by workmen working when I was young. My Dad had been decorating our dining room and had left the tricky bits around the french windows and gone out for the afternoon.

I was about 7 years old and having watched him all morning decided to help out and finish the job so I cut the wallpaper in small strips pasted it with glue and stuck it up on the wall.

I thought it looked good hardly any gaps, well stuck on and I had managed to cover the wall without running out of paper.

However upon Dads return he wasn't exactly thrilled as of course I had only stuck small pieces on instead of nice full strips, took no account of pattern matching whatsoever, had glue all over the top of the paper, the floor and everything else including myself.

Also he wasn't sure he could obtain any more of that particular wallpaper which turned out to be true so he had to scrape it all off and hang something else up instead.

Another time involved our next door neighbour, he was tamping down his freshly concreted driveway. Kneeling down furiously banging a large piece of wood stopping every now and then to check the levels either end he didn't notice me slowly walking towards him through his freshly smoothed level concrete taking in his every move until he got almost to the end, looked up and noticed me standing half and inch deep in his 25 foot driveway. Well you can imagine how pleased he was to see me!! I think he had to call on reinforcements to get the driveway finished before it set! I was sent indoors!

Enjoyed both stories but neither were as good as your opening gambit.

tbh it always used to be scissors not the snap blade knife, when I first started decorating.

Last time I used scissors, I think the Ark was still unloading its last few animals

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

Fish finger sandwich cut from a full loaf, white bread, way too much butter, salt/pepper & tartar sauce
(or either tommy ketchup / salad cream if no tartar sauce)

Hahaha! I never realised scissors had become so "last year"!

Do you use a knife for wrapping Christmas presents as well? And cutting out letters for ransom notes?

Scissors just don't cut it any more for me

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.
