A generation of entitled little ponces. Rah rah rah the young generation are lazy and entitled. Load of s***e. It's incredibly difficult to progress for millennials. People often can't buy a house till their 30s education is incredibly costly and are saddling young people with debt. The job market is oversaturated and productivity is at all time low and that is reflected in real term wages being lower. You could buy a house or be given one by the state on an average low skill job back in the day. Yet they are politically illiterate because they vote against the unfairness of the current system and are angry that older people who have some nostalgic bulls*** view of little England have further damaged their opportunities by things like Brexit. Whether or not they know how to use an iPad or don't like the smiths has nothing to do with it.

The manipulation of the housing market is what has fvcked over the younger generation big time. Those in charge of housing policy in the 80's- where the perniciousness began - should hang their heads in shame at their betrayal for the many millions of UK kids from back then who are in their 30's now, and with more to come behind them in their twenties, and the rest after them for the foreseeable future.

If you want to train to go into public service, nurse, plod, teacher etc you've got to get into a s*** load of debt. If you want a good job you probably need a degree with the debts involved, if academia isn't your bag, where are the training schemes or apprenticeships (I moaned about yts but do know a few people who did well out of it career wise). I could add more. No wonder many of the young have got the hump (but it's easier to dismiss glibly as we have seen on this thread) than to try and see things from their perspective. What you describe is not ideal but you can't really think the young have it hard compared to the past? The baby boomers and their kids had it good in some ways but overall the youth today have a relatively soft life.
