Pretty much, although the German air force losses were also a factor, the provision of fighter support was decreasing and the decision to switch to the Blitz was partially influenced by resources and the experience of the Spanish civil war. This wasn't specifically limited to London though, the Germans were bombing most British cities that were in range.

Without fighter escorts targeting British airfields was increasingly dangerous (Especially given the use of Radar which was effective in allowing British Fighters to intercept German aircraft).

Yeah, RADAR kept us in the game long enough for the Germans to make tactical errors. Goring was a knobhead and Hitler should have kicked his arse out earlier.
Fortunately, they were both useless.

Hitler's classic failure was in trusting his 'political officers' more than his military officers. Letting Himmler have so much control over the Waffen SS, Goering over the air force, rather than actual qualified proficient generals (of which the German war machine had plenty of).

One of the surprising successes of the Blitz was the Anderson Shelter, which had been judged as useless, but made available because 'it was better than nothing' and would be good 'for morale'.

They speak both.

A lot of Germans also speak pretty good Russian as well. Much less popular in the generations since 1988 mind.

Someone mentioned the war and didn't get away with it.
By contrast, I managed to spell Goering without an E and got away with it twice.

I could point out that there was once a Dr Who episode called 'Let's Kill Hitler' but that would be a tenuous link in the extreme.
I could also mention the fact that Terry Nation and Raymond Cusick based the Daleks on Nazis.

A lot speak French too, which is truly ironic seeing how much effort they've put in over the years to making it the other way around.

To be fair, I think this is a much more valuable discussion than wondering whether it's ok that a fictional, time-travelling, alien with two hearts and the ability to change appearance every couple of years will have breasts or not.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Spot on. The Dalek tendency to utter all their dialogue as if they were on the podium at the Nurenburg Rally is a dead giveaway :-)

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Yeah, and exterminating everything that moved was a clue.

They certainly weren't representatives of Rentokil.

I've never minded my threads drifting off topic.

Quite.....Still....It's a Time Lord....Not a Time Lady.

Also, there were only meant to be twelve regenerations....Still, I'm not bitter.....Normally there were two t1ts in the Tardis...it's just now there are four.
