I couldn't......Not that at 48 it's something that could happen.

I think it depends upon your self image and how important your own sexuality is in your self identity. Ultimately you have to live with yourself. Some would find it easier than others.

If I were a heterosexual woman though, those questions would be different ones.

I wouldn't want my daughter doing it.....but these are questions for the individual.

I agree with all of that except for you blaming the system.

The reality we have is the best we can do. This nature of the crime is both horrendous and horrendously difficult to prove.

The link I posted illustrates what happens when you start helping the accuser over the accused.

Its a valid criticism - Where damages have been sought, rather than criminal convictions, the rates of finding for the petitioner are much higher. Its a genuine drawback of the accusatory system of justice.

Whilst that is said, it is a failure of the system to provide justice where so few successful cases are brought. Of course we cannot really shift the balance of evidence because its essential to ensure reliability of conviction, but we can look at what is acceptable as evidence, and work with juries and the publics understanding of what is and is not consent.

I don't think you can just say 'oh well lets make it easier to convict', but I think its ok to undermine some of the less ethical and unfair processes by which a defendant can skate. For example demonstration of why the defendant believed they had consent. Not just saying 'it was consensual sex' but to walk through the actions and reasons why they believed it was consentual.

To us mere mortals a million let alone 20 is a life changing sum of money. To an a list actress it's a drop in the ocean so I guess it's hard to answer.

Personally sleeping with Hugh hefner for fortune. No. Everyone would know and you get the slapper label.

Sleeping with a movie director for a fortune. And no one knows. No slag label. Well yes. If it would further my career and give me money beyond my wildest dreams. Of course. Women sleep with men up and down the land on a Friday night for a lot less.

I understand your frustration and your desire to change the balance of evidence.

There are several problems inherent with sexual crimes and accusations of sexual crimes. What is fair to one party can definitely not be fair to another.

As for your raising of the unfairness of rape case convictions. We also have the unfairness of accusations against men. There are gender stereotypes over 'tonic masculinity' that are taken advantage with. Playing with these balances has already seen poor outcomes.....those who wish to gain advantage...or get back at lovers.....use these 're-balances' to.....well practically destroy lives that way. The civil court is increasingly being used by rich boys to overturn injustices imposed on them by over zealous private school rulings......What about the poor kids who can't afford this redress? Career destroyed and name tarred without proof.

I agree with you that the whole area of rape and sexual assault isn't a fair one. I don't agree that the statistics on real rape are as they are presented as it is a feminist football. But I do definitely recognise that men can and do get away with this crime.

If something fair could be done about it, I'd support it.

Thank god.

Most of them genuinely deserve medals.

I'm guessing when your a list actor or actress, you don't have to strain your knees and tonsils to get a job. Its important to remember here as well, that its not just women who are victims here. Cory Feldman and Elijah Wood have both spoken out about sexual predators preying on male actors, including child actors, in Hollywood.

Yeah, but to an extent, with Hefner its not 'f**k to get the job', but more that the job is f**king. So whilst its a mile from 'empowering', its not quite the same thing. Its not blackmail. Also, I don't think you had to suck off the editor to get a photoshoot in Playboy.

That said, I've always been a slag / slut.

I think most people on reflection, would, given the choice, label or no label, because its a metric f**k ton of money, that a) will transform your life b) buys a lot of therapy.

And there you have it.

People will do anything to get what they desire. Well some people anyway.

There are a lot of similarities between what Weinstein has been accused of and Donald Trump's 'sexploits'

Both henious, yet one is being rightly castigated whilst the other is president.

It's a crazy world.

The really crazy part is that some who celebrate Trump are using Weinstein's downfall to bash Trump's opponents.

The same people who only kick up a fuss about Muslim groomers but don't really say much about similar crimes by non Muslims. It's almost as if it's not the crime that bothers them, it's the perpetrator.
