Thing is, I think most people's experience of daily life is that multiculturalism is kind of working. They mix with people of different ethnicities, cultures and religion on a daily basis, and have friends, schoolmates and work colleagues across those spectrums. Mixed cultural marriages and relationships seem more common place.

Most people don't really seem to care about peoples race, culture, sexuality, gender, ethnicity etc in the way they used to.

Problem is I think the reality is that those 'traditional views' aren't very popular anymore - and parties that hold them don't seem to do too well.

UKIP once the referendum was done and dusted, immediately seemed to lose most of its support - because the issue wasn't 'multiculturalism' but EU migration (and they were right about that - the Freedom of Movement was a problem and an issue - not because of migration but because of the scale and impact on society).

'Traditional views' I think just aren't popular enough.

None of those factors has any bearing except culture. Culture includes religion, lawlessness and attitudes to others. Things are not rosy in that department. To keep pretending they are is promoting unreality. Of course people interact in the course of daily life. They have to.

What you really mean is that the law and the fascism of corporations and media have made it almost impossible for many people to say what they realy think. As far as voting is concerned. No one actually believes that a party other than Tory or Labour can win in a general election.

How exactly?

The Kermit Guide to UK Political History seems to think the years 1997-2010 didn't exist.

Deregulation of Banks - Thatcher. That's worked well, hasn't it?

And as for Europe -1986 1987 Single European Act

1985+90 1995 Schengen Treaty & Convention

1992 1993 Maastricht Treaty - The 'Union'

All signed, sealed and delivered under the right-wing party you supported, voted for and let loose.

Thanks.

See post above for as to why the previous political era has much more to answer for today.

How many illegal wars? Fueling of mass uncontrolled immigration (remember 'rub their noses in diversity' and 'she is just a bigot'), Introduction of tuition fees? Biggest financial meltdown every under their watch - Socialist utopia postponed yet again.

Yes.
Doesn't mean I think it any less heinous though.

Utter crap.

As usual, you just select stuff to support your argument.

The housing crisis is caused by market forces and rising population. During the last Labour government, 70% of population rise was due directly to immigration and the rest was largely due to the rise in birth rate caused by immigrants.

It was a Tory government that introduced restrictions on Commonwealth immigration in 1961.

It was Labour's Jack Straw who ended the primary purpose rule as soon as they got in power, that then allowed migrants to bring family members here.

Oh, and let's not forget, it was Blair's Labour government who allowed unrestricted immigration from eastern European countries.

Yes, they did. Government then was not very good either. Governments and the state in general never are. That's why you should always vote the least interventionist party. The least government we can get away with while providing proper essential services, law and order and defence, the better. That's why Brexit is good - a whole strata of needless 'government' done away with.

Not that I disagree with you on this point but, for sake of good order, the parliament building has come under attack. [Link]

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.
