Yes I DO have empathy with the many supporters who were denied entry as a result of the dastardly actions of those so called "Fans" who were hell-bent on wreaking civil disorder and violence.

I for one would have been in a steaming bate and would have vented my spleen had I been affected.

That isn't empathy, it's thinking only about Number One.

Call me Mr Old Fashioned, but how is it possible to reconcile these two accounts that are supposedly 20 minutes apart? The video appears to show that no one was being allowed through the away turnstiles, which confirms the reports on the night of 300 Palace ticket holders not getting in.

Only spoke as I found mate...I had no problems at all...getting in or out...and everyone who was on duty..Police and stewards were really helpful and friendly

Certainly would have been at the time and understandably so.And of course other individuals would have been of my mindset.

But as I have stated, I do have sympathy with those genuine supporters who were unable to view the game as a result of the actions of a moronic minority. These reprobates were the catalyst for events that followed.

Good luck with that . You would have probably been shoved, shouted at, spoken to like a piece of excrement like the rest of us were. By the police!! And then when you had enough and just simply wanted to go home before everyone else left and it all started again they would have manhandled you onto any train there regardless of whether you wanted to be on it / it would actually get you home or not.

Yet whilst this was happening someone else was supposedly just walking through the away turnstile without either having or seeing any problems (see my question above); both accounts can't be correct can they? Your video does seem to accord with the subsequent reports of the turnstiles being closed.

Kick off was 19:45 though Dave and Paul got there just before kick off which would be about right.

Is there any news on how the pyrotechnic stuff actually got into the ground? I understand a minority of fans decided to rush the turnstiles, was it those guys that brought them into the ground? Whenever I've been to Selhurst (haven't been to as many away matches so don't know but I presume it acts the same way) I've always been searched and had my bag looked through, so I just can't understand how they got in- unless of course, as I say it was by people who got into the ground by causing trouble... which I suppose is likely as I think the law abiding fans wouldn't bring the flares?! Dunno! I'm so confused by the whole thing! I don't have a ST this year as expecting a baby so haven't been to as many matches but this is one match I'm actually glad I couldn't go to!

So the charging of the gate and the decision to close the turnstiles all happened after the game had kicked off?
