Someone tell the NPC that I live in Wisbech, which suffers from high EU immigration....which he should know.

I also grew up on a council estate in Stockwell, Brixton and witnessed plenty of violence and I spent some of my twenties in Catford, Bermondsey and Lewisham. I'm working class and have lived smack in the middle of these problem areas most of my life.

I don't talk out of my arse about the problems like he does.

Everything I stated applies to him.....a utter hypocrite.

He needs his nose rubbed into the multiculturalism which he supports yet lives away from. Talking utter tripe while living in a nice homogeneous area.

He could have moved to these diverse areas yet the proof is in the pudding.

He should be put there, right in the middle of Savile Town and not allowed to leave.

I grew up on shrublands and regularly drank in Croydon.
Although back then I didnt need a stab vest.
It was a quite a pleasant place to grow up.
Neighbours who wanted to be friendly.
Plenty of west Indians and first generation Indians and pakistanis.
Colour was skin deep and beliefs not pushed.
I remember the 1977 jubilee parties and I was only 10. I went dressed as John bull (Google him ) as my.mum made me a costume. I would be far right wearing that now but back then patriotic meant wanting to be part of a country.
Every street done up with union Jack's, st George crosses along with flags of all countries.
100s of people of all types of colours and religions. Rows and rows of Tables in all the communal garages and in the streets.
Everyone mucking in with food and drink.
Late night house parties, virtually open doors.
I just couldn't sadly imagine that now.
All I'm left is me memwies.

I don't remember it as fondly as that but I know what you mean.

A higher percentage of people were still trying to make it work and things like patriotism weren't being openly attacked.

If I see yea I'll buy you a pint so it's not just memories....it's a pint and memories....which is probably the best way to recall them.

Rubbish. That's not found in Christian faith schools.

The best of them teach tolerance and invite other faiths into their schools. It's not though true of all. I was brought up as a Christian and until my late teens was very involved, so I have some personal experiences to base my opinion on.

In any case as soon as you teach a message that your's is the "one true faith" you communicate, whether intentionally or not, that your's is superior, which in turn means that others are inferior. It's then unsurprising when others disagree and conflicts arise.

This applies to all religions which in turn means they are all divisive and that no exceptions can be made. If we are to rid the country of religious intolerance then we have to do so without any suspicion of preference. It might well be very unfair on many good people, of all faiths, but in the interest of the task in hand it needs to be done.

I fully accept that the argument is unpopular and at present a very minority opinion, but I hope to see the merit of it become gradually accepted as the best way forward.

I have yet to hear a better idea, but my ears are open.

I am not defending anyone not learning English. I am just explaining that 18 years ago we didn't test people to ensure they did. Thus we are doing more.

You want all faith schools to be abolished because you don't like religion? There is always an authoritarian lurking just below the surface isn't there?

It strikes me that those "progressive values" have been largely responsible for what's brought us to this current nihilistic dystopia. State schooling has been central to all of that indoctrination (something like 97% of teachers are the same political persuasion so there is no diversity of thought allowed).

There are clearly lots of practical things that *could* be done about this:

1. Primarily stop mass immigration (otherwise the problems will clearly get worse)
2. Prosecuting with vigor barbarous and extreme behavior (not just terrorism)
3. Closing down demonstrably extremist institutions
4. Transparency of funding and greater control over the transfer of funds across border (difficult now I admit)
5. Stopping extremist preachers entering the country
6. Banning things like ritual slaughter in it's totality
7. Giving voice to the concerns of citizens instead of pretending this isn't happening
8. We clearly need a public inquiry where we have widespread and systematic abuse of any of the above

I hold out no hopes for the above in the near term (due to the current liberal hegemony) so continue to do as much as I can to publicize these issues, attend marches and directly fund various alternative media that is willing to discuss these things openly and honestly.

I want faith schools abolished because I believe that it would help with the issue and for no other reason. Making sure all our children get taught British values would make for a solid base on which to try to build a homogeneous society.

I don't suppose anyone knows the political opinion of teachers, but that never stops people making assumptions. In any case they are professionals who ought to leave their politics at home, or in the staff room. They teach what the curriculum says they must teach and if they stray then their head ought to discipline them.

We have stopped "mass immigration", if indeed we ever had it. We have a system based on the need to fill shortage occupations, for family members and in the case of humanitarian need or asylum. Apart, of course, from the free movement principal implicit in being a member of the EU. It is generally accepted that this system needs better control, whatever happens with Brexit.

Prosecuting all criminals is already the job of our justice system. Are you wanting us to suspend due process in some way? Good luck with that if you are.

Same applies to extremist institutions. They do get closed, but only after due process is followed.

There are already checks by the banks to verify the sources of and destination for money remitted abroad over a set amount. Determined people will though always find a way.

We do stop extremist preachers and others at the borders. I don't know the last time you passed through Heathrow but the checks inbound are now getting much tougher, just as the screening going out is too. Do not for one moment think nothing is being done. It is.

So far as I am aware ritual slaughter is banned, unless you mean the way Halal meat is prepared. I agree that a good case can be made for this to be banned, although as it might result in higher imports I suspect a few farmers may disagree.

Everyone's voice can be heard! There are plenty of opportunities to make your feelings known. It just has to be done legally, and not in ways which obstruct the pursuit of justice or involves using hate speech.

Holding public enquiries is perfectly OK. It would enable things to be aired and explained. So long, of course, that everyone participates with an open mind.

We start by banning faith schools. Of all sorts and for all religions. All children from whatever background need to leave their religion at home and learn British values while at school. No exceptions.

It would cause an enormous uproar and mass protests but it is a critical first step in reversing the current drift.

Let the children experience alternative thinking and learn new values. Let them make new friends outside of their immediate circle. Let them challenge the set ways of their parent's generation.

You can already see this happening with some more progressive youngsters. We need to encourage it, whilst explaining why.

For me this is the only practical way forward. Moaning and groaning about what might have been and who is to blame get's us no-where at all. It will take a long time and we will face significant disruption from activists which could cause mayhem but we need to face up to it and bite the bullet.

What is your solution?

I certainly agree that we should phase out the teaching of religious superstitious hogwash as 'factual' from any source. That would mean the closing of 'faith' schools but that obviously does not mean that we should stop teaching people how to uphold 'Christian' values.

Personally, I have always felt that moral standards and codes for civilised behaviour were likely crowbarred into religious texts for the same reasons we need them today. The whole worship and spiritual aspects of religion are a separate matter that should be dumped and consigned to history where they belong.

What we don't want is to be overrun by 'foreign' religions that take us back centuries and undermine Western principles. We have deselected the aspects of Christian teaching that are no longer suitable and we do not need them replaced by other more radical ideas.

To summarise. I think it is fair to say that we must maintain a system that upholds societal core values and principals in line with Western culture while dispensing with superstition and worship. This also means halting the expansion of other religious belief systems by all means necessary.

That some try to cheat is hardly a surprise is it?

When my wife last did the test they removed all mobile phones before they could enter the test area, alongside rigorous identity checks to avoid impersonation, so I doubt many get away with it.

How nice to find that we are in general agreement on this.

Thank you.

No the fact that she lives in the country & can't string a sentence together in English was actually my point.
