According to the incredible volume of pro ‘Robinson’ social media a man admitted touching Yaxley-Lennon’s daughter in front of witnesses. In that case, especially as apparently his daughter was in great distress, I would have called the Police or security.

It is curious this happened to him, something I would think immensely rare.

I am not sure it is as rare as you may think, but reading your posts you do not appear to believe it happened or think it is a PR stunt by TR.
As a matter of interest in the scenario of your child, do you believe the perpetrator would have waited for Police/Security to arrive? I don’t so he would have disappeared and free to do it again to someone else’s child.... nice.
As an aside I am not in anyway a supporter of TR but can understand fully his actions if the incident was as claimed

Nauseating....man wimp.....A man sticks up for his family in all reasonable circumstances.....physically if required and this situation would qualify to most blokes.

The Police referred themselves to the IPCC! That's what it exists to do. It's a proof of the strength of our system and not a sign of weakness. That allegations are made is not the same as anyone been found guilty. You have only to read the threads here to realise that.

That senior Police officers might have been pressured by politicians in the past to overlook things seems very likely to me. Should that be proven then they need, of course, to be held to account. The recent exposure of Cyril Smith raises questions. Standards in public life are like everything else. They evolve and hopefully improve as a consequence.

Ever heard of Carl Beech? Making lurid claims is easy. Whether they are true is another matter.

My wife worked for the IPCC, I know a lot more about it than you ever will. I cannot go into specifics but suffice to say if you are in the right “club” or hold a high position in a “club” you have every chance of escaping censor or disciplinary action

Like it or not no-one ought ever to take the law into their own hands.

We have CCTV to assist the Police. who will do their job even if a scumbag is making the complaint.

So thats your opinion is it? Must be right then!!
Whatever you think of TR, scumbag or not, he has to look after his kid, plod aint gonna do it so he did what was needed.....Asians, pakistanis must not be refered to as asians/pakistanis but YOU can refer to TR as 'scumbag'. He may well be, but using your logic you may not refer to him as such!!

I think you will find I criticise politicians every bit as much as I defend them.

I mostly defend their role in our democracy but not necessarily as individuals. That depends on their performance.

sorry not seen those posts.....lol

Just in case there is anyone remotely interested, and for the avoidance of any doubt, I am very happy to confirm I regard myself as extremely privileged to live in Cornwall.

Not because it is "white"! In fact we get very little "white" here. It is largely green, although at this time of year colour is bursting out everywhere as Spring arrives very early. We get some daffodils at Christmas!

The Cornish are lovely. Although fiercely proud of their culture they are warm hearted and welcoming. Wages might be low but people are still happy because the quality of life is so good and there is so much that costs nothing at all. No sitting on crowded trains and ordering take-aways. Wandering on beaches and harvesting mussels is more the way of life here.

As this privilege is though open to everyone it isn't truly a privilege. You only have to re-assess your priorities for it to become a reality. Many have moved here having left well paid jobs and found themselves able to establish themselves very successfully. Especially with online working. Fibre optic broadband is available everywhere here.

Having time to reflect in peaceful surroundings can offer the opportunity to reach balanced conclusions about many things, whilst being in the middle of them doesn't allow for a perspective. Maybe that's why so many artists and writers do their work here. Even some football managers have their homes here!

Having moved here from Wisbech I now have years of experience of both areas. I have no doubt whatsoever which one enables a more reasoned and rational approach to be worked out. Wisbech is a distinctly odd place with some even odder people living there. Chalk and cheese.

I don't doubt you for a moment. If you, or your wife, have information, then there must be ways for a whistleblower to get them investigated. Or take them to the BBC or another journalist.

I know things aren't perfect. They never are and can never be when people are involved. There are though more good people than bad. More good Police than bad Police. So we need to support them. Moaning achieves nothing.

You are as wrong as "Robinson" seems to have been.

It's the Police's job to investigate crimes. Not yours, mine or "Robinson's". Only if he caught someone in the act would be have been appropriate to intervene and restrain him. Taking subsequent retribution is not acceptable.

I didn't specifically refer to "Robinson" as a scumbag. You inferred that was my meaning and I won't comment any further. If the cap fits!

I would be comfortable with you describing the grooming gangs as "scumbags", because they clearly are. Not all Asians. pakistanis or Muslims are scumbags though. Which is what you infer.

Are you absolutely sure about that?

Everyone, even scumbags like "Robinson"
