A friend's daughter is very bright and goes to one of the top private girls school she is in the first year of A levels and has along with her classmates already been to Cambridge twice to get to know the tutors and courses.

She and I both have a mutual friend who is a professor at Manchester University I get the feeling that Manchester is a shoe in for her subject to the grades. She is already being head hunted.

Perhaps the Universities could be forced to run these hot house seminars if nothing else it would allow the kids access to the decision makers.
