Screaming abuse at the umpire in the middle of a game is not the way to correct it. I wonder how many times Roger Federer has felt a decision has gone against him but he has just sucked it up and got on with the game. In her press conference she tried to justify it by saying "He's never taken a game from a man because they said 'thief'." No, because a man has never said that to him, nor have they gone on to call him a "liar" to boot. The fines from the USTA are pathetic.

Bitch on court, sickly sweet fake gushing in her interviews, and a total s*** for spoiling her opponents' first major victory.

She used that card up already at the French Open, when she conveniently pulled out just before she'd have had to play Sharapova, who she hates. She hadn't lost to her 14 years and didn't fancy giving her a chance to. Then there's the excuse she came up with when Konta battered her 6-0 6-1, saying she found out her sister's killer had been released 30 minutes before going on court. Because that's when you check your social media, isn't it. Obfuscation every time.

Most pundits and analysts agree that serena has the best serve ever in womens tennis. This alone they all acknowledge gets her to the second week in any slam regardless of her match fitness. Not for the first time she lost it(her temper) at the losing point at the US open. Outgunned by a younger fitter oponent who's moment in the sun she totally ruined. Something she has apparently fought against her whole career. Have a bit of grace serena. You should be better than that.

Also may i add that follow the WTA tour religiously. In no way do i accept that it is weaker than ever. It is massively competitive and serenas serve aside very even. Halep ,wozniaki,ostepenko have proved that with grand slam wins over the past year. Add in garcia , and svitolina kvitova etc and you have a very entertaining tour.

Some Spanish rugby players received 14 week bans for verbal abuse of a referee, while those that gave him physical abuse got 43 week bans, and while it wasn't justified they certainly had more cause for complaint than Serena Williams did.

OK, how do you explain a post natal Serena on the, comeback trail, at 36 years of age, breezing through to the Wimbledon and US Open finals without even having to re-establish her ranking? If the womens game was so tough that would never happen, it would take her years to get it back, if ever Steffi Graf in her pomp would totally school Serena
