Ray Illingworth took the cricket team off at Sydney in the early 70’s. That was for hurling beer cans at John Snow rather than abuse.

I suppose the football equivalent are the far more dangerous coins.

If you are in danger of being physicaly injured, that ups the ante to another level......Then again, Illingworth probably over reacted.....because in some ways Illingworth came across as a bit of a tit.

He never seemed the cheeriest of fellows. Football fans must either take pockets full of coins or be astonishingly accurate with their throwing.

Snowy was bouncing the late Terry Jenner - who could bat a bit and is best remembered for his mentoring of Shane Warne.
