When did asking for a dedication on the radio for a friend or family member become a "shout out"? That really bugs me.

There are also other annoying sayings that get mindlessly parotted e.g. Its a learning curve,between a rock and a hard place, early doors ....

Imagineer.

Whoever invented that seriously deserved a series of short sharp slaps around the back of the head until they apologised.

Unless they were a bird.....then it's a disappointed set of loud 'tuts'.
