And they call every sensible normal person 'far right '

Thanks for that. It's the funniest comment I have read for quite some time.

I consider myself "sensible and normal" so will now observe the BBC to witness them describing those who think like me "far-right".

Anyone who champions violence is a criminal. Whether they lean politically to the right or left is immaterial.

I just noticed that the Manchester bomber has been given 55 years in prison, take a bow Judge Jeremy Baker.

This didn't start out as an anti BBC rant. I spotted this good news in the papers and I was going to post the story from BBC news to highlight what a great decision by the judge, this scum will die in jail.

However I am at a lost to understand why I cannot find the story on BBC news it should be front page.

They did find space to report the death of some drag queen I have never heard of.

Well done BBC dropped the ball again.

It is there if you go to UK news but given what happened it should be a top headline when in fact Taylor Swift and other Government bashing news takes prime position.
Dreadful organisation!
Good on the Judge though!

Unbelievable. There should be a threatened boycott of the event next year or audience should sing it anyway.
Another attack on our heritage

This is dare I say it...

FAKE NEWS.

The only change is there will not be singing this year . But then communal singing is currently thought to be a high risk.

Which is what was mentioned in the tweet, if you'd read it. Dan Walker mentioned this live on air this morning. No words or singing of these fabulous arias from our history, will be allowed, due to the left wing let's follow every cause going Biased Bullshyte Co.

I've a mind to write a letter to The Times, that's how disgusted I am, harrumf.

They won't print it, they're almost as bad these days.

The BBC initially said they were considering not playing them at the request of the Finnish conductor who is a BLM supporter (in one of the whitest countries in the world, go figure).

The climb down isn't really one as they will not be using the lyrics I guess this was the plan all along like the Chancellor leaking a 10% tax rise and on the day it's only 5%.

My problem with all of this is:

1) The BBC says it came under pressure, from whom? A Finnish conductor? I is a great honour if she doesn't like other conductors are available. I do not detect a mass rush from the public on this matter. Someone should remind the BBC that Henry Wood and others started the Proms for the people not the elite and yet it is the woke elite who are now setting the agenda.

2) Last year there were 83 concerts in the proms program, musicians and performers from all over the world with a huge variety of music from around the world. If the BBC wants to be woke they can have an evening of BLM music or LGBT night etc. but for god's sake leave the last night alone.

One concert once a year for the patriotic we have our culture to.

I will not be listening this year the first time in decades.

They don’t stop to think this will just make people play it and sing it even more, for all sorts of reasons, especially to annoy and wind up these tits and to kick back at this dismantling of English and British identity. These arrogant but pathetic woke intellectuals will never get it but we should never back down, until I’ve emigrated.
