Ironic the the swastika was originally a symbol of peace. BLM may have been until they trashed the wedding

Why are you talking about the political movement that shares the BLM name?

They are not involved in this.

It's meant to be a free country....but with these puritanical snowflakes in charge it no longer is.

However, if someone wants to buy a ticket and boo politics in football that they don't agree with they won't receive any criticism from me.

Clap, boo, you paid a ticket, it should be your right.

The authoritarians will be authoritarians.

It's not my wish that that be true but it is the commercial reality of the Premier League. Do you seriously think the money it generates comes mostly from the UK, let alone from ticket sales?

Like it or not this is a global business and is managed that way. Get real!

That's arrogant bs. You can boo all you like at home in front of the TV. There you have rights.

If you buy a ticket to attend a ground, owned by someone else, then you enter into a contract to abide by their rules. It's their home and castle and not yours. It's not the public square.

Good grief maybe you would like Leni Riefenstahl to organise the pre match entertainment.

If I don't like what I see I am entitled to voice my displeasure whether it's the opera or a football match.

Weird reasoning.

A person who does what he is told then is then expected to say when questioned that he's not that keen.....and if he doesn't that's some kind of proof.

Football is fine with the discrimination that it approves of....as in over representation of non whites. Yet apparently it has something to say on discrimination....and its supporters better shut up and live with the politics or be banned.

Edited by Stirlingsays (13 Dec 2020 12.28pm)

Now that truly is seriously weird reasoning!

Are you really suggesting that any "over-representation of "non-whites"" in football is a result of discrimination?

Are you seriously suggesting that "non-whites" are not being chosen simply on merit and because they are making themselves get noticed?

Is the solution positive discrimination in favour of "whites"?

I don't know whether you are deliberating missing the point or just don't get it but this was covered in the first few pages of this thread. It's pretty sad that by page 75 the same thing is being said.

If they become a political party it would only matter if the general public either noticed or cared. All the time that the public perception of the term "black lives matter" is that is a sentiment that they support then the political movement is irrelevant.

At Selhurst today there was a huge display in the old stand with those words in full view. Do you really think our club was endorsing a left-wing American political movement? Or were they just making a simple statement?

Right. So when FIFA rule 4 says
“the basic compulsory equipment must not have any political, religious or personal slogans, statements or images… The team of a player whose basic equipment has political, religious or personal slogans, statements or images will be sanctioned by the competition organiser or by FIFA.”
They decide each case according to public perception do they?

Hopefully those in the ground applauding it annoyed a few people on here. It’s almost like this site isn’t representative of the common, decent Palace fan. Who would have thought that?

Whether it's the opera or a football match should you do so whilst attending you risk being asked to leave and refused future entry.
