Brexit has been quite advantageous to the EU.

And the EU were probably quite happy we finally left, in particular as the divorce deal overwhelmingly favoured the EU.

Emigration of businesses and professionals to the EU have benefitted them and the excess bureaucracy is minor compared to that which the UK has inflicted on itself.

Brexit will have major repercussions here for years but not in the EU.

And NI has experienced a dramatic increase in trade with Ireland, the NI protocol is not unpopular and DUP candidates are getting the bird wherever they speak.

Not that advantageous, there is the small matter of tens of billions they received from the UK. Other countries have complained that their contributions have gone up and so have MEPs.

But I agree it was for the best we were an anchor dragging the the EU from where it wants to go. We were the troublesome party guest spoiling it for everyone else.

I think there are elections in Hungary soon it will be interesting to see if the people support the government's anti EU stance or side with the pro EU parties.

It's not going to happen, in either case.

Thanks for posting this. Good to get some balance against the relentless Remainer nonsense.

You will be aware that the bastion of socialism the National Farmers Union is Ďdispleasedí. At the moment farming is in a terrible state in Britain, primarily Brexit related and absolutely due to this Government. It really is a crisis.

Agree, Hungary is one of the last hold outs of conservative culture.

If Hungary and Poland turn degenerate...oh sorry I mean socially liberal it looks ever bleaker for Europe.

I know, it would be awful to see people's material standard of living rise. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Hungary & Poland want to keep their beautiful women for themselves.

And can you blame them ?

Hold the front page farmers are complaining. What next taxi drivers?

I must admit to being disappointed with the government response now that we have left CAP. I think we should pay farmers for standards far higher than the EU e.g. ban battery chickens.

As David Davies said the other day the government has done nothing so far on red tape or exploiting the advantages of not being in the EU etc.

It's time for Boris to act.

Instead deals are being done with low welfare countries to export into the UK. Now it will be a race to the bottom. You wonít have to hear from moaning UK farmers in the future. Only giant agribusinesses will survive. And you can forget chicken welfare, it ainít happening.

Useless Eustace makes it clear he is tearing his hair out at the way trade deals have been rushed through in desperation to the massive detriment of UK farmers. Remember Liz Trussís embarrassing pork markets video. Well, take a look at the UK industry now.

Farmers are losing £25 per pig. Needless to say that isnít a sustainable business.
