So the EU will take another 2 months to ratify, much to the UK's chagrin no doubt.

You mean they actually study things before agreeing to them?

We don't do that surely, I mean brexit is brexit!!

Divorce in haste, repent at leisure..........

And Labour and the general left didn't.

Now the Tories are left wing as well and couldn't give a monkey's as long as the house prices don't fall.

It's all about state control of your life.....wear the mask, think what we want you to think and enjoy the life we allow you to live.

Can't complain about it now....especially as the Greens are this times two.

When you become so right wing without realising that you think the Tories are a left wing party.

When you are so far to the Left that you think that people with mainstream and reasonable opinions are far Right White supremacists.

Perhaps.

The Tories use to be a right wing party....how's that.

Only a liar would deny the Tories shift to left wing social policies.....policies they had previously been fighting for decades.

It's a bit like a Labour supporter during the Blair years denying that they had shifted their economic policies to the right.

But it's true that socially I'm on the social or dissentient right, while still believing in some liberal ideals.

Just not neo and social liberalism, which might as well be global corporate communism....which is a fecking disaster.

I noticed that Labour are gearing up to slam Rishi's Tory tax rises, who would have thought that Labour the party of low taxes.

Labour have never been able to add up though.
They think there is a money tree where you go to pick the cash to give to everyone with no repayment terms.
Hence the treasury note in 2010 when they handed over to the Tories - nothing left!
Labour spend and lose power - Tories take over and (generally) get the economy back on track - not this time I might add - and then lose because Labour promise to spend loads again - and so the cycle goes on!

LOL.

Also this today,from the Guardian...

Austria and Denmark to work with Israel on future Covid jabs, saying EU 'too slow' [Link]

One of the main reasons I wanted out of the EU was because it is so so s***. And I don't blame it for that, I blame the wider political culture of nations dumping their failures on it by way of getting rid of them. Got a moron in Government who has too much dirt on people to just sack? Then move them on to Brussels. Happens time and time again and now people are paying the price.

If offers the worst combination of factors for flawed modern politicians to be left running. And its a shame. The ideals which drive the EU are worthy ones. But the execution of it is beyond appalling. And the rot is far to deeply engrained to make it worth saving. The sooner it implodes, the better for hundreds of millions of people being impoverished and now having their well-being damaged by it.

It’s a stupid time to raise taxes when the economy needs all the stimulus it can get.

Reduce corporation tax is the way forwards.
That would certainly stimulate companies to invest.
