We were poor defensively once they got into the box. Benteke should have been sent off, utterly stupid to hit someone in the face. However, he is now performing at the minimum standard that we should expect from him. Zaha is becoming an embarrassment, moaning as usual and diving when, if he stayed on his feet, he might score or attract a real foul - sell him or drop him.

When Big Ben scored he formed a 7 with his fingers, what was that all about?

A '2' and a '5' - Eze's squad number is 25.

I love wilf as much as the next palace fan and would defend him to the death.

However! i got so annoyed with him last night! why not shoot instead of looking for a penalty! goes over easily and then arsenal go up the other end and score to make it 2-1!

Just shoot! we have seen recently when you shoot on even a deflection would send the ball into the net or at least a corner, goal kick and then we draw 1-1.

I was furious!

I've come to the conclusion that either he's lost all his pace or he's carrying injuries all the time. He never, ever, knocks it past his man and runs. He had three yards on their defender at the end last night, but we all knew he'd cut back and let the defender get back goalside again.

He honestly looks like he can't sprint.

If you are right in your hypothesis Willo, then that was indeed a fine gesture, given that our new shining star is out of the game for several months.

On the vexed subject of the final result, my wife didn't say a word, she just looked at me with tears in her eyes as I lay prone in my chair gazing at the TV muttering incoherently.

Finally, was it me, or did Steve Parish look poorly when he made his presentation to Roy? Appeared like he could do with a couple of those pies from the Holmesdale which someone described as delicious.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

This is what I was informed apropos the Benteke celebration.
Townsend was also seen adorning a shirt with 'Eze' on it and underneath it was his squad number of '25'.

In terms of Steve Parish, he certainly cuts a svelte figure.

Agree 1 I will defend Zaha 2 he was at fault for the 2nd goal and 3 I was seething.

Brighton may catch us!

TBF when Roy gave his farewell speech he had his head in his hands. Perhaps he also agrees?

They win at Arsenal and we lose,as expected,at Liverpool they will finish above us on goal difference.

Brighton have lost 3 out of their last 4 away games, but all by a single goal.
Arsenal have won all 4 of their last PL games.

Stress. Half the team out of contract. No new contracts signed. Manager to appoint. Working really hard on due diligence on players only for West Ham (and now Leeds?) to gazump us. Sainsbury's ransom strip and the stadium development. Tension with the Americans (?). Trying to shift revenue balance away from near 100% dependence on TV. Improvement of the pies. Will there be another season of Line of Duty...

And did you expect them to beat Man City?

Groin?

Needs a rest.

Hopefully, the old Wilf will be with us next season...
