Please point out where I said I agreed with Khan. I am well aware as to where Bin Laden was hiding, as I was living in pakistan at the time.
I have met Khan on a couple of occasions actually and imo he is a complete K**b

I knew someone who was a long time friend of his long time girlfriend while he was in England and he dumped her when he retired from cricket. Agreed a k**bh**d

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Saying I’m not bothered about thousands of people dying on 9/11 shows how silly you are, it’s hard to take anything you say seriously when you spout nonsense like that.

Jo Cox was murdered by a white supremacist, born in Scotland, I wonder if England should stop Scottish people coming in?

There is an active war going on between radical Islam and Europe and America. While that war rages, blood will continue to be shed, unfortunately.

So no reply to why I'm up at 5am then.
Go figure!

Good post. Two different worlds. Or sides of the earth. Or were.

It comes to the same thing.

To the victims, of course it does, but we are discussing the motivations that result in murder. Understanding them correctly will help generate a more targetted response.

As far as people like you are concerned, any Islamist that kills is automatically insane because it defends Islam and the influx of Islamic believers into this country. When I say it, that is because I believe that whether you brand someone as insane or not, it makes no difference. They are symptomatic of a bigger problem, and we all know deep down what that problem is, whether we want to admit it or not.

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (16 Oct 2021 10.46am)

A determination of insanity is a legal defence and not a clinical judgement. Clinicians determine mental illnesses and then attempt
to treat them. For an insanity defence to succeed, it must be proven in a Court that the accused was suffering such mental illness as to have lost their sense of reasoning.

It is absurd to suggest that I think that any Islamist who kills is insane. It's total nonsense. It's as ridiculous to say that every one is insane as that none are. Each case needs to be determined on its facts, and not by some hypothetical rule of thumb.

What is true is that not every Muslim is an Islamist terrorist. In fact very, very few are. That though doesn't stop you seeing Islam as the real issue and the "bigger problem".

Around 100 years ago, in another country not too far from ours, those who held a different faith were perceived as the root cause of all their problems. They found their own "final solution". I have to wonder what yours would be?

I have no sympathy for anyone who breaks any laws because of their religious beliefs, let alone commits murder. The west is fighting a battle with radical Islam, which there is no way we can, should, or ever could avoid. We must win the battle, and the only way to do it is to counter bad ideas with good ones.

That requires patience and education, alongside zero tolerance of any unlawfulness.

Radical Islamist must be a new mental health diagnosis.

It might seem so to us, but when radical teaching is all you have ever known, then your reasoning isn't like ours.

In their world, radical Islamists probably believe they are doing God's will, and are not mentally ill at all.

It's Pavlovian conditioning in spades.

The problem I have with all of this is supposedly having to 'like' Islam. Why should I? I fail to see anything compatible with my beliefs or values. I also fail to see why the most Liberal people tolerate it. It clearly does not tolerate their beliefs.

I don't "like" Islam either. As an atheist I don't "like" any religion. I have no issues with anyone believing whatever they like, just so long as they don't seek to impose any aspect of it on me, or anyone else. By that I mean it must be kept private and not on display on the public square, with any kind of proselytism ruled out. JWs get short shrift with me.

Radical believers, who feel they can break the law because of their beliefs, need just to be treated as the criminals they are.

Whilst I make no excuses because of belief, I also don't condemn people because of one. I ignore it, and judge on actions alone. Break the law, be punished. Abide by the law, carry on. What's in your head is not my business.

The man being held for the murder of David Amess, is Ali Harbi Ali who was previously referred to a Government anti-terror scheme. Ali has told police that he targeted Amess because he was symbol of the British Government.

You don’t have to like Islam.

Just don’t think all Muslims support terrorist extremists, as they don’t.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.
