I reserve special criticism for misspelling the names of holy texts, such as the Bible, call me a pedant if you will.

I don’t think racism or xenophobia at large (or even in this funny little forum) exist only in my balding cranium.

As for Trump and his bleach, you know full well he meant it, as dim and detached from reality as he is.

What is apparent to me Mainey is that you are happy to just make up stuff as you go along, whatever will defend whatever nonsense you are saying at the time.

You can think what you like my little bald friend....as I kind of like you in my weird way I'll bother engaging....when it's interesting anyway.

As for Trump, I think it was a joke....just something he shouldn't have said.

I repeat there is no laws for death for apostasy that exists in other mainstream religions. I explained why that is within the context of how words in these religious books are treated.

It is not stated that if someone leaves their religion that they must die.

I repeat there are death for apostasy laws existing in 13 Islamic countries.

I don’t see how Idolatry, standard meaning or religious meaning, is mentioned in the text. The subject addressed is patently apostasy, which is punishable by death, in that holy text.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I don’t think I made up that Trump said that, or that I made up the chapter and verse from Deuteronomy.

In Kelly Anne Conways world, there are such things as alternative facts. In my world, there are simply facts. Spot the difference.

As for being little and bald, I am bald indeed, as a coot, but I ain’t little, as I stand at 6’ 3”.

You love it Stirley. Where would you be without a liberal to joust with, on a crystal palace FC related website.

There's a difference between the worship of false gods and rejecting the Jewish or whatever god.

That's the difference between idolatry and apostasy...it's why the two words exist Mainey....otherwise it would be just one word wouldn't it. If what you were saying was accurate then a death for apostasy law would exist in Judaism.

In fact it doesn't even exist for idolatry, for the reasons I gave earlier. The words of the text are treated differently between the books.

Didn't you go to Sunday school man.

6'3 eh....taller than me then.

I tell you Mainey the time I've wasted on here waffling away in pointless arguments.

Could have done something useful....there's this large airfix Titanic model sitting on the top of one of my cupboards that I brought five years ago and still haven't put together.

Could have painted it and sunk it in the bath and everything.

One can come after the other. Step 1 - reject, step 2 - adopt a new faith. It could even be handled in the very same moment.

The 2 words exist because they mean separate things, the only problem with your contention is that I pasted a passage from Deuteronomy which was about apostasy, not idolatry.

Yes you seem quite the stalwart here, I don’t think I’ve posted on here for months however.

Didn’t know airfix did sea vessels.

I am studying for an exam, which I think even the most anti education zealot would agree is more worthwhile than debating the difference between apostasy and idolatry, with a bloke from Wisbech. I better get to it.

You never answered about the Gusset of which you spoke.

Like I said Mainey, if that were accurate, where's the law exist?

It doesn't even exist for idolatry.

Billy Idolatry.

Actually to correct myself it's from Revell not airfix.

The less said about Gusset the better.

Xenophobia isn't racism or illegal, yet !!!!
They are linked only by the fact that it's a fear or dislike of another nationality.

You said Imran Khan knows more about Islam than I do. If he’s such a knob, why use him as an example to make your point? I don’t think you would make the high school debate team on that one.

You don’t know anything about me so it’s a downright stupid comment anyway.

To say there there is only one school of thought on Islam is absolute bollocks. If there is no radical Islam, then please explain why rank and file Muslims find the tactics of ISIS deplorable? You can’t, because there is a clear difference between moderate and radical extremist Muslims. To say otherwise is either down to childlike ignorance, or playing politics, in Imran Khans case.

If you actually took the time to read my reply where have I actually said anything you claim I have? “ Mainey knows more about Islam than Imran Khan, who knew” No comment whatsoever on radical or moderate Islam.
You are correct I know nothing about you ( well a bit) but you know as much about other posters on here but that doesn’t stop you making nonsense comments about their character.
Maybe before you start having a go about what posters have written, it may be advisable to actually read their posts

If, as I understand correctly, Ali Harbi Ali, was arrested at the scene, having waited for the police to arrive and that a knife was recovered, I would have thought there was a watertight case with charges being laid immediately.

So why the need for the Terrorism Act detention and the extra time that brings to question before charges must be made, or the suspect released?

I wonder if the police suspect that others might be involved and other crimes planned, so need to extract information. I can think of nothing else.

My understanding is he has claimed that he killed the MP as he represented the British Government. Thus would immediately be classed as a terrorist act and therefore he would be detained under the relevant act ( possibly thus allows them more time for questioning). They would indeed be looking into whether he is a lone wolf or a member of a larger cell
