And yes, Finland’s entry is a bloke, and highly rated. The lady is a backing singer I assume. But I haven’t watched any of this yet. Probably will watch the voting as a scientific test of how popular we are as a country.

You'll have to use the Wogan equation for Eurovision popularity of country (p)= amount of votes ÷Duckworth/Lewis quality of song 1-10 (dlq)×π-posotion of Ukraine (U). Best of luck.

When did Czechia become Czechia rather than the Czech Republic? I must've missed that.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

"After Czechoslovakia dissolved on the last day of 1992, Česko was adopted as the Czech short name for the new state and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic recommended Czechia for the English-language equivalent. This form was not widely adopted at the time, leading to the long name Czech Republic being used in English in nearly all circumstances. The Czech government directed use of Czechia as the official English short name in 2016. The short name has been listed by the United Nations and is used by other organizations such as the European Union, NATO, the CIA, and Google Maps."

I didn't know either.

On the telly this morning, a group of Scousers were moaning about there being no trains today and the effect that would have on 'fans' trying to get to the city.

Are these the same anti-establishment Scousers who always love to support a good old withdrawal of labour?
