Oh and French is his first language Is it Becky? I mentioned this to a fellow fan yesterday, or rather that he should at the very least 'speak some French' however they challenged me on that. I must caveat however that my faith in this particular fan's actual knowledge of the situation was very low however it did throw me a bit nonetheless!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

He's spoken in interviews before about having to speak French in the family home as a kid so he's definitely fluent, but he grew up in England so I think you would say English his first language. As he speaks the language a move to Paris would surely be attractive? Easy to get back to London when he wants and it's another major metropolitan city. Marseille would be a different fish. I think PSG fans would like him as a he has a fierce will to win and grew up playing cage football. If Neymar stays though the dressing room may need a moaning filter!

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

bouillabaisse? très bon! As an aside, I would imagine most of us would rather Wilf went to PSG than Olise, which probably highlights where we're at now. I'd still be happy to see Wilf sign, but if I had to choose between losing him, Eze or Olise I wouldn't think twice.

I am somewhat committed to Wilf leaving and if it is the case I'd actually consider PSG to be a preferred option for me selfishly. No rival to Palace, will almost certainly get some silverware, plenty of wonga for him, a city he should feel somewhat comfortable in, European football, high profile etc. etc.

I'd be able to support him from afar.

If PSG are serious , or indeed even interested, this shouldn’t take two minutes.

So why the farcical delay in making any decision, leaving us with a much reduced time scale to bring in replacement signings??

I have to agree with you there Jacey . Its beyond a joke at this stage and is downright insulting to us all . His mind is already made up and the club knows what the situation is and the same goes for the manager . I can almost hear Parish now " we tried to get a replacement in for Wilf and everyone knew we were desperate and were quoted ridiculous prices and didn't have enough time to get the deals over the line" BTW The window opens tomorrow Steve .

I've long been under the impression, rightly or wrongly, that Wilf keeps his options as wide and open as possible until such time resigning with Palace is the only/most preferable one. Being a Free Agent this season may be the one in which a more desirable option appears on the table however I would not bet against this not happening and him staying. I don't think it's ever been a case of Wilf just wanting to leave Palace but more of him wanting to play at a bigger level and/or get more money for doing so than we can offer him. On paper you'd think so however I get the feeling there just isn't much of a market for him these days. People prefer youth, top level experience (CL etc.), goals, goals and goals plus consistency. None of these are available or guaranteed with Wilf and now he demands astronomical wages, if not asking price. Probably too big a risk for the vast majority if not all clubs. I think he'll be playing for us next season outside of my personal wants or desires.

Not many of the PSG players are natives of France.

You only have to look around any major league , to know that the language of money tends to blend all national dialects.
