PSG wanting Wilf, , doesn’t seem that sound to me. I suppose they might have a passing interest, see him as a limited risk backup of sorts.
This is the world of , Mabappe, Messi, Naymar,. Are they going broke or something? Let’s face it they have always gone for what many would agree was the very best of everything, and cost didn’t come in to it, so why would they change? all due respect to Wilf, but a thirty one year old Wilf, for free could be a bench filler maybe, but a priority signing.?

If PSG are serious , or indeed even interested, this shouldn’t take two minutes.
Let’s face it ,what has he been hanging about for?
It wouldn’t seem likely Palace have not had cards on the table for some time, so whatever Wilf, really wants hasn’t arrived just yet, that is unless this latest rumour is more than a rumour.
I would like him to stay, but certainly wouldn’t be one of those to begrudge him a big money move, but it starts to look as if outside of agent hype, offers are not yet strong enough for him to make his mind up. My fear is , by delaying the club allow themselves to be left on the wrong foot ,as far as bringing in the right players for a future without Wilf.

I think I read somewhere (can't remember where) that PSG are looking at a couple of options, including Wilf but will NOT make their mind up until "next week" (which could be later this week if I read the info last week - being the wrong side of 70 I can't always remember on which day I read or did things).

It also looks as though Mbappe, Messi and Neymar could all be off. In that case they will certainly be in the market for numerous forward signings.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Someone on the bbc rolling sports news mentioned that Mbappe could come to Palace as he used to idolise Aki Riihilahti, so i saw.

all of them are overpaid, over-rated and over the hill. I saw an article that mentioned Zaha to replace Messi. Wow. But really, Messi today is but a shadow of 5 years ago.

PSG have a problem with their culture. And will never win anything until they fix that. A whole team full of 2015 Messi's and still they never got any silverware.

i reckon playing in the French league makes players lazy.....far less tough than the Prem. I love Zaha, and if it is his time to leave then better in Italy or Spain.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

Absolutely.

For me it is somewhere between the mickey mouse Chinese/Arab super spenders and the established, competitive European teams.

Were Zaha considering 'Al-whoever', purely for financial reasons, I don't see why a team comprised of other overpaid 'stars', in European competition, guaranteed to win a trophy, flush with cash and less physically demanding on him would not be perfect for this latter stage of his career? I would certainly think it's the best possible option for him. Even if it does go t!ts up for PSG there'll be plenty of others to shoulder that burden with him.

Obviously, we are in different territory now that Wilf's contract is up, but it is worth remembering that the media have been selling Wilf to some club every year since he came back to us.

I really hope he stays, and I really hope that fans appreciate that he has kept us in this league.

Even now, he would be a big hole to fill, and we certainly cannot afford to fill it.

He's spoken in interviews before about having to speak French in the family home as a kid so he's definitely fluent, but he grew up in England so I think you would say English his first language. As he speaks the language a move to Paris would surely be attractive? Easy to get back to London when he wants and it's another major metropolitan city. Marseille would be a different fish. I think PSG fans would like him as a he has a fierce will to win and grew up playing cage football. If Neymar stays though the dressing room may need a moaning filter!

I'd also add that I'd rather see Wilf go to PSG than another English team.

I am somewhat committed to Wilf leaving and if it is the case I'd actually consider PSG to be a preferred option for me selfishly.

No rival to Palace, will almost certainly get some silverware, plenty of wonga for him, a city he should feel somewhat comfortable in, European football, high profile etc. etc.
