The victim complex of many of many the right wing posters on this forum is strong. I've just read pages of loads of people crying about how tough life is for yourselves whilst none of you can acknowledge that other people might also be experiencing a tough time based on their circumstances.

In the game of life the best hand to be dealt is a straight white male in these modern times. I don't have guilt for falling into that category but surely you got to have some thanks that it turned out for you that way (assuming you fit into that category).

Nobody on here is crying about how hard their life is. Several people have however given examples of how from humble beginnings they have made something of themselves. Generally by hard work and by playing by the rules, not from rioting and looting.

My post was about everyone has a tough life I am not denying that someone who is black may have tough circumstances such as absent father or a family life where there are low aspirations but that also applies to many others. Just because you are a woman or black or gay or fat or ugly doesn't give you a pass on having to work hard to get qualifications or job skills or just better yourself.

One more point

No one in particular, just general thanks that it turned out the way it did.

It's like being proud to be from England, it's nothing to be proud of because it happened by total luck, why be proud of something you had no hand in impacting, but I'm still proud of it.

1. Nope. I'm from 'the side' who was ambivalent enough not to vote in the referendum, but thinks no deal stems from a batsh*t delusion that you can step out of the globalised world, and is now just resigned to watching our country crash and burn.

2. Nope. I read all of the posters on here in all of their tediousness. I've never no platformed anyone, I've never told someone they can't speak, but I recognise that some people have loud voices and little to say, while others have quiet voices with a lot to say. A good society amplifies the latter.

3. That one you can have. But don't you worry why for 50 years, the rich have been able to pay less and less tax, while the security given to the poor has been eradicated in tandem? That inequality has been allowed to rise with almost no pushback, and that while successive governments have been willing to tackle, say, immigration, climate change, even racism to a degree, none of them have done anything to stop the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer? Isn't it valid to ask why? Why are disabled people not given the money to live with dignity? Why are refuges for victims of domestic abuse being closed? Why are children entering a world with less opportunities than their parents, all while billionaires make money off our work and pay nothing back?

If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4
