Yup and I already said I understand the anger of the protestors. However it is clear that some people (politicians) are only outraged at the police when they sympathise with the cause of the protestors. The police have a difficult job and yet they are constantly being undermined by the establishment who should support them. Don't forget the court said the vigil was illegal. Don't like the law then change it.

It's completely different to other lockdown protests we've had. For a start, it's a vigil, secondly, it's not only being held in the same country as the crimes happened, but also the same town. Women have a right to peacefully show how important their feelings are. I'm just a bit disappointed how other crime and murders in London are being overlooked. The murder of a white woman was an opportunity bring peoples attention to just how unsafe areas of South London are. Other murders in the same area are being over looked, because the same people who were ramming BLM down everything through after George Floyd's death don't are now dismissing the deaths of young black children in the same area as not as important as a white woman because the young black kids were probably involved in gangs. Seems like events have been hijacked by those with a political ideology again. Middle class politically active Karen from Berkshire is grabbing this as an opportunity to criticise all men for some prick cat calling her.... whilst kids are getting murdered in London.

Nobody there last night is going to look good. Anybody with any sense could take a few moments to realise whether people at a protest are going to cause trouble or not and it’s not that difficult to avoid it. [Tweet Link]

Utter hypocrisy of the worst kind. I loathe any man who subjects a woman to any kind of abuse. But I also extend that heart felt desire to protect, and protest when it does not happen, across the board. Perhaps one of the few areas of my life in which I am not 'racist' in the modern sense of the word.
