I said before the West Brom game that if we won, especially if other results went our way so that we were essentially safe, and Roy hadn't been given a new contract by the end of this long break we've had, he probably wasn't getting one. Such a long break just seems like the obvious time to sit down and agree a contract. And they haven't. That we know of...

Having been an Eagles fan since 1957 I think it's about time I looked for some entertainment that I can cheer to. In all those years I have never seen such negative play continually as the crap that Palace keep playing. They may have secured enough points to survive once again, but until we get defenders that can defend for 90 mins, and when we do, not sell them to M kin U, and allow strikers to stay up front and not help out the defence.

Possibly, although Andros has come out today and said that no contract discussions are being held with any of the players until the end of the season, so it may just be the same is true for Roy. It's not like someone is going to come in and poach him, unless the Vatican over-75s football team are looking for a new manager.

I think if Roy was staying we would have heard about it now rather than all this cloak and dagger stuff. I don't believe that they are leaving all this until the end of the season when we have time now to sort things out being that we are safe from relegation. Andros is just towing the party line on instructions from above. My gut feeling is that Roy knows he is going, Parish has plans in place or already has a new manager signed up and the players out of contract know if they are staying or going.

Which makes perfect sense, the season ends on 23rd May and players are under contract until 30th June, so 5 weeks to sort contracts out.

Exciting times ahead! Players en masse out of contract, the manager staying or leaving...? This is really a difficult one. Roy seems to be able to keep us in PL, but his style of play is truly boring.

My instinct is similar to yours then. One things for certain, the club don't seem concerned about the risk of losing any of the players or staff to other clubs. They've all been free to sign pre contracts with foreign clubs since new years day.
