Get over there then.

I have no issues with those who want to fight actually fighting.

There are multiple wars going on where you can play goodie and baddie: get going.

I'll fight when it's in my interest to fight. I'll suffer when there's a point and an outcome worth suffering for that doesn't result in huge risk.

Is that where W12 has gone (to fight for his hero Putin of course).

Go fight for your hero then.

Go fight for Zelensky.

I'll be here trying to pay my bills and trying to keep my kids warm so you can feel better about the Ukrainians.

It's a valid point.

Morality in war reduces the longer it goes on: slavs are brutal in war and don't have quite the same cultural heritage of restraint.

That's why de-escalation was so important early on....but the 'appeasement' crowd wanted their war and now we are all going to have to suffer for it.

Stirling you know my stance on this, whilst it's great to see an invading army get a deserved kicking, I'm now black pilled to the point where I'm convinced we will see somewhere in Ukraine get nuked, how NATO will respond is anyone's guess.

The level of your nonsense just gets worse! No one at all wanted this war. What a truly stupid idea. It was entirely down to Putin. The west was faced with a choice. Appease and allow the Russians free access to Ukraine, resulting in their eventual domination of the whole country, with all the escalating risks that involves, or support Ukraine with modern weapons.

De-escalation would be welcome at any time but you seem to want the Ukrainians to surrender to achieve it . True de-escalation can only happen when it’s in both sides interest to do so.

This is a very costly war, in every sense, but I give thanks that most of us understand that the costs would ultimately be even higher if we had just turned our backs on it.

.

I agree that it seems probable that Putin will turn to low yield nuclear at some point.

However I don’t think there is any guessing about NATO’s response. It will condemn, encourage the rest of the world to do so too, especially China and India, but stick firmly to it’s red line of no direct intervention. Nor do I see any possibility of NATO member’s supplying nuclear weapons of any kind to Ukraine or, indeed, any very long range weapons.
Enabling Ukraine to hit logistical targets in Russia, possibly.

Just remember those who advocated for prolonging this war between slavs when you can't even afford to heat your home or pay your bills and you have to deal with not even having electricity along with the privilege.

Idiocy.

The downside of domestic and business energy being subsidised by ever growing French debt, not that I necessarily disagree, but it’s not a surprise people take little notice unless it’s going to cost lots more of the first higher bill makes them gulp. Smart businesses will see it as a competitive advantage (in survival) cutting the energy costs, which would normally be considered pretty much a fixed or committed cost, but less so now.

The Ukraine is already destroyed. It's lost a lot of good men and infrastructure and is now essentially a puppet/client of the US state department. The US is already spending twice its GDP and after Afghanistan it's given itself a new sick puppy.

The Ukraine being low yield nuked is possible just as I now think our own infrastructure is at risk. Better armed terrorists are pretty much nailed on as well.

I've said it from the beginning, this was the wrong hill to die on but that's too late now I guess.

At least I can say I spoke up when the normies start acting up.

I've heard it said and I can't help but agree with the sentiment that the west is kind of like the USSR was in 85.....We are approaching collapse, 5, 10 years, maybe more, but it's inevitable.

The system as it is can't rationally continue along using the same model. Those with brains know it...especially the technical or finance guys. It's why Gates...a tech guy....has been spending massive capital buying farm land (land holds up well against inflation and food production goes without saying)

The wealth/power elite just want to position themselves so that come the new model they are still the guys who hold the same status.

Even though they are the least deserving to.

Well, like most of your analysis, that's just completely wrong.

You really have swallowed the propaganda haven’t you! The west is not going to collapse. It will change, of course it will. Everything has to, to adapt and survive new circumstances. Evolutionary principles apply here just as much as anywhere.

What I suspect you mean is that the west as you remember it, and still want it to be, won’t exist anymore. That’s certainly true, but collapse it won’t.

We will have to get used to lower growth and be happy with what we have, rather than always demanding more. Lower birth rates, and migration flows as a result of climate change, will mean our ethnic mix will be different. That’s nothing new though. It’s been happening throughout my life.

If the 20th century belonged to the USA then the 21st will belong to China. That though doesn’t mean collapse. It means change, which you can either embrace and enjoy, or resist and be miserable.
