But its not about business, or wealth - it was about political issues and social issues of citizens of the UK, which they felt were not being addressed by Government and the EU. If the UK takes an economic hit, and falls down the ladder of 'largest economies', but in doing so, removes the option of exploiting cheap foreign labour to keep wages down, then its the right decision for me. People shouldn't be in a position where working does not provide a route out of poverty.

How much money a region receives....from the actual region that produces it doesn't matter....Especially as it then goes on and tops up regions that don't earn as much. Surely a lot of that is do with areas such as a deregulated housing market and out of control rents, etc which is nothing to do with the EU but more to do with some of Thatcher's lovely ideas which are still in effect today. And this 'keeping wages down' EU baloney. Been blown out of the water recently, hasn't it?

But i agree with you the reasonably narrow vote had little to do with economics. As with most things I suspect it will end up better for some and worse for others.....hopefully the working classes will have a better shake of it and be less exploited.
