Very True about a 2k year book but even some science of today might be total b######s.
Global warming being just one example.

Again, we must be careful not to make a direct comparison between science and the Bible. Even when the Bible was written, some cultures already had an understanding of geometry and astronomy. Science already existed independent of folklore and superstition.

That's true but was there help from ET for the Mayans and Egyptians
Even now we struggle to build with such perfection and accuracy
But that's another thread altogether.
Yup that's my next question.
Was God an astronaught.
There is a book that asks that question!

Well,he might have been an astronaut.
There are a number of ancient cultures that seem to have stories about visitors from various constellations and there are a number of depictions of what look like spaceships. Even the Bible has some stories that could be interpreted that way. Jacob's Ladder for example. It is all speculation of course and Humans are very good at making stuff up.
I am 98% sure that we have been visited so you never know.

It could be all a simulation......or it could be a Cadbury's creme egg.

Although I would not dismiss all theories about ancient alien visitation, the perfection of ancient buildings has been a bit overplayed. That Egyptians made a pig's ear of Pyramids before they learned how to do it properly and even the good ones were not perfect.
As with religion, I think there is a danger of a filling in the gaps with(insert agent).
There are some interesting mysteries, like Pumapunku for example.

You mean that humans are the visitors?

We do share genes with the rest of life on Earth of course. Unless genes are uniform throughout the galaxy.

Maybe the problem all humans have, both religious and scientific, (or any others), is the totally irrational belief in the beginning and end of everything. A concept that exists in certain physicist's minds, but can be explained no better than the Big Bang theory, or religion.

Some things on this speck of dust in the universe appear to have those attributes (birth-death), but humans are likely to be merely insignificant in the cosmos.

Okay, i'ma bow out.

I still don't really understand why we can't settle on 'you believe this, I believe that, we don't agree, let's get on anyway and support the palace.'

You're all kind of being dicks to me, which is unnecessary. Just because we don't believe the same thing. It's not on, really.
