I blame Willo - cos he has the inside take on all these things so should have tried harder to exert his influence, everybody should gang up on him like the good old days (he's bound to know Dominic Cummings - probably met at a black mass) and stop trying to make Wisbech out to be so sanctimonious - Heseltine, Clarke, grieve, Soames, what a bunch of lefty snowflakes they are - they're asking who's to blame too - it's Willo - Leonard Sachs on speed.

That they are is exactly the point I was making. To see how people try to destroy them tests them for weakness and you can then examine the strength of the arguments used against you.

Understanding how the "opposition" thinks is very very useful. A great deal of it is completely predictable coming from people with a view of the world that I simply don't share. Nor, I suspect, do you.

1. I am accussed of "Verbal diarrhoea" ! - I could barely contain my mirth. You are an erudite soul so I am sure you can rearrange the words "Black the kettle calling pot".Snorts of derision and incredulity all round.

Forgive me but I thought your post was a deliberate parody and not to be taken seriously. As such my response was intended to be in a similar vein.

2.I didn't accuse you of "Vaunting superiority" I claimed with some justification that your comments are delivered in a TONE of "Vaunting superiority" and was not intended as an insult casting aspersions as to your honesty, integrity, cerebral capacity or physical features etc etc.

I understood that anyway but thanks for the confirmation. My response stands because it was specifically addressed to you but to the general way that posts are handled here.

Of course I can take an alternative viewpoint to the opposition (I am sure you understand what this means) and be strident in my repudiation of the messages imparted, indeed as you are fully aware forums such as these are a vehicle for debate and discussion with differing opinions order of the day.I am fully confident in my opinions as I suspect you are of yours and of course we will defend our positions with vim and vigour.

It's the best way to learn. I am and hope you are too. I am just watching the ITV programme about the NHS. It ought to be compulsory viewing for every citizen but especially for all our MPs. It is extremely worrying.

In politics, Oppositions attack Goverments, the Governments attacks the oppositions so why Trump has been highlighted in this manner is somewhat befuddling.

Trump is the current instigator of the tactic never to admit you are wrong and then to viciously attack your critics. He was taught it by Roy Cohn who was his mentor. In business he would throw law suits and money at issues. As POTUS he throws lies and Twitter at them. This tactic has been seen to be so successful it has been imported here and is now used by the Tories. More subtly for sure but the same tactic can be seen.

I really think that the debate is veering of the rails and perhaps should return to the subject matter - so "Who is to blame?" !!!!

Debates tend to do that when they start getting personal!

Read back how you have labelled some of us and tell me that wasnt a slip of the qwerty!

I ignore most of your posts as I find them pretty irrelevant. However this needs an answer.

If you don't think people who post the kind of views that you do aren't on the margin then you see the world very differently to me. I think Corbyn and his supporters are on the left margin whilst you and those who think like you are on the other, on the right. If you aren't on the right where are you? You aren't on the centre right. You are on the right margin. A thick margin I grant you but still a margin.

I am firmly in the centre. I am a social democrat.

I can hope and dream. If it happens then great but I never expect it and that way I am not disappointed. I always though learn.

No. They are all decent people. However when I discuss the EU with them eyes glaze over and the old tired reasoning comes spilling out about sovereignty, taking back control and immigration. They are not especially politically savvy.

Perfectly acceptable and understandable reasons and you dismissing them is why you couldn’t win.

How can you ignore them if you read them and find them irrelevant.
Ignoring them surely means you dont read them.
Clearly you dont ignore them!
You just dont feel of a low enough IQ to reply is what you patronisingly mean.
I admit I'm on the right;sadly in your eyes there is only far right.
