No, they do not. They still stipulate that people on their premises have to follow the social distancing advice and guidance. Nothing in terms of social distancing has been reduced for mask wearers in supermarkets, or any other shop for that matter. Again it is just those who choose not to comply and those who let this behaviour happen who are making the whole problem worse than it would otherwise be.

How do you follow social distancing when the store is full? Do you just leave and go back when it’s quieter? It’s impossible, so by letting as many in as want to go in then yes they are indirectly allowing social distancing to be breached.

Perhaps you could elaborate on what you mean by those who choose not to comply. I’ve never seen anyone in Warlingham Sainsbury’s without a face covering. Sorry, there was one woman who didn’t look like she could breathe without a mask on so I’m guessing she had a decent excuse. Do you have a different experience?

Well, you know, the fake commie version.

Ah I see. It’s a well researched article with multiple quotes from relevant well placed people and backed up with the statistics but it disagrees with my own viewpoint so it must be wrong and it must be written by a leftie. Gotcha.

Oh look here's a Spiked article with quotes and statistics that says the opposite.....Wow, it was so hard to find....took me like 30 seconds.

[Link]

Does Dan agree with it? Nope.....he's still thinks lockdowns are a good thing, despite the WHO disagreeing with him.

Stop being a ham Dan.

Here's the actuali....a couple of days ago, Sweden registered 10 deaths and we registered 595.....stick that up your quotes and statistics pipe and smoke it.....though perhaps you're more into vaping.

Lockdowns in populated countries are nothing but a political posturing tool....an economy destroying delaying tactic that doesn't work.

Those who choose not to comply with the social distancing advice of two metres.

We are all aware that social distancing is to be observed. In addition to this there are signs & stickers absolutely everywhere, members of staff wearing clothing with the guidance / advice displayed on it PLUS regular audible announcements asking people to follow the social distancing guidance. People should follow the advice as it is there for the safety of everyone, it will reduce the infection rate and it will mean the measures people find so restrictive and objectionable can be eased sooner rather than later.

No, supermarkets have not dropped social distancing rules for mask wearers.

Sainsbury’s Warlingham went from 100 before masks were compulsory to 270 once compulsory. I asked someone at the front tapping on their smartphone as people went in. Supermarkets may not have ‘dropped rules’ but Sainsbury’s let nearly 200% more people in and Tesco have stopped telling people anything from what I’ve heard. Don’t know about Morrison’s. They were pretty draconian during spring and summer and have a CEO who has made it public how left wing he is.

Again the government haven’t commented on this, just as the opposition haven’t, pretty much like when the panic buying and hoarding went on in April and May for so long. More interested in closing down independently owned businesses if they don’t sell essential products when supermarkets sell everything on top of essential items.

Excellent points.

This generation of Tories don't give a monkey's about small businesses.....when I grew up it was half of what they talked about.

Yes I know. It makes me sick every time I think about it. Parliament is full of traitors now.

This is the kind of chart I am interested in now and will be the kind used to scrutinise the government’s fetish for locking down & closing smaller businesses down, now snd in the future after this is history.

I kind of agree with Rudi really, however, I was wondering if all this pandemic has done is speed up an inevitability? It just seems like common sense for shopping to go online, or warehouse style at the very least - for obvious cost reasons. Leaving the high street needing a different direction: boutique, specialist stores, restaurants, cafes, bars - or bookies, charity shops and whatever else.
I'm expecting the high street to be short lived now, perhaps 'die'. And then resurrect itself as filling the housing need, conversions, apartments, Tower blocks in Croydon etc. Along with trendy cafes and bars for hipster residents (in the posters anyway).

Whoosh right over your head.

How about 10 versus 595, that simple enough for you.

No matter how you spin it, it shows lockdown for the unnecessary disaster it has been.

Plonkers were predicting that Sweden would suffer a huge meltdown and it never happened.....the only thing that melted down was the ability of people like yourself to think for themselves instead of continuing to drink the kool aid.

There are several posters on here say anything that disagrees with their viewpoint must be wrong
