Good news but disappointing for quite a few on here

"France elections: Far-right National Rally loses key battleground states - poll.

Marine Le Pen's RN also lost another potential stronghold, the Hauts-de-France region around Calais in the north."

The real right losing to the centre right after the centre right steal their policies? Same old, same old.

People get fooled by false promises and tough talk, which they think will translate into real action....but civil nationalists are ethically restrained from that......once the centre right betray them those who voted for them expecting action will only have themselves to blame I suppose.

What Le Pen wanted to do is forty years too late.....as it is fifty years too late here.

Brexit is a calamity for our farmers, especially small ones.

And this is what they will be missing:-

EU negotiators strike new CAP deal 387 billion euros on payments to farmers.

Farmers will be paid to move from intensive farming practices to protecting nature and rein in greenhouse gases.

In the UK bringing back control seems to mean pouring untreated agricultural waste into rivers.

And that's what brexit is, full of s**t.

The uk potentially has better plans for government subsidies

There are 3 new schemes that will reward environmental land management:

Sustainable Farming Incentive
Local Nature Recovery
Landscape Recovery

The trouble is there has just been talk and no action. Nobody has a clue how anything will work and we are really running out of time.

Good luck with that

Something of a generalisation but

Brexiteer : You are entitled to your opinion , it's time to move on and make the best of a post Brexit world

FBPE/Remainer : You are entitled to my opinion which is correct and therefore fact

A lot of people on here are very good at predicting the future and taking their own prediction as fact

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

From today the furlough scheme starts to wind down over the next 3 months employers will have to increase the percentage amount they pay their staff until October when the scheme closes.

Keep an eye on the unemployment numbers have these workers just been parked and so not included in the numbers or will their employers welcome them back.

My feeling is that a lot of people will be out of a job so might want to look at the hospitality sector and HGV driving if they cannot get the job they want.

Really Kwasi, I think that this is state intervention, welcome back Labour 1970's policies.

The taxpayer will be funding most of this, and much more is needed across the board due to the tory privatisation failures, they cannot milk anymore there is nothing left for shareholders in water for example.

Where does the money come from? Probably we don't have any but in todays crazy world it appears you can just go on borrowing and digitising forever, leaving the next generation to pay (or not).
