Here we have yet another post that makes no attempt at all to address the subject, but again retreats to making personal comments.

The problem with holding extreme right views is that even members of a right wing government get criticised for being too "liberal", whilst those in the centre become "far left".

The benefit is that it's so ridiculous that most ordinary people, of whatever political persuasion, can see straight through it.

The benefit of stumbling on anything is that before you do you have no idea what you are about to find, and every experience is valuable in some way. You don't have to like it, and most surely not join in, but you do learn. You have no need to keep your eyes open for very long. You do though need an open mind.

I mention good parents later on however we are in complete agreement. The state have definitely been both negligent and complicit since it abandoned promoting normalised family role models.

Vulnerable children are now utterly at the whim of freaks and the social norms that once intervened now cheer on.

The mentally ill are normalised and celebrated instead of being recognised as ill and that's coming at great cost.

Edited by Stirlingsays (04 Oct 2022 2.08am)

The state recognises full well the benefits of a stable family background. They also have to deal with what is, and not what they, you or I, might want. They cannot just abandon people who don't have stable family backgrounds, and nor should we.

Categorising those who try to advise and support those affected as "freaks" is not only wrong, it's ignorant and quite disgusting. Some may not look conventional, but that will often add reassurance. Seeking to impose standards from a very narrow world view is the issue here.

One of my granddaughters is a mental health nurse, and I can assure you those who are really mentally ill are recognised. Her job is to assess exactly that, and it is an extensive, technical and thorough process.

It seems some believe that those undergoing, or considering, changing their gender are mentally ill. It's untrue in most cases.

I care that this is being normalised as a go to option. Cutting up bodies because these kids are actually told it’s ok, don’t worry you will feel a lot better when it’s done.
Counselling to find the root cause of wanting it done should be the go to place. Explaining the risk and reward and the figures show both mentally and physically having it done is the riskiest. Until an open discussion for public consumption and input without the threat of cancelling or prosecution is had then many more kids into ‘adulthood’ will swing themselves I’m afraid.

It isn't!

No-one encourages. Quite the reverse.

Nor does anyone "cut up bodies".

Surgery is the very last step of a long journey.

Maybe because I think it’s more important? I decided I didn’t like city life 60 years ago and am now firmly a country lover. Not because of my neighbours, but the crowds, noise and impatience.

I have little interest in London now, other than Palace.

I followed Trump for years before he became well known because of my US friends.

I don’t restrict my interest just to what happens in the UK.

More interest in Trump than your own capital City? Seems strange maybe you didn’t want to see what many people on here have been saying and that you have disagreed with ( presumably with little knowledge)

.

Trump’s antics get almost daily attention, Even today there is another new book covering them. He is, so far anyway and thankfully, uniquely bad. Others imitating his tactics has though started and needs to be called out.

London’s problems are neither unique nor new. Gang crime, poverty alongside great wealth and racial tensions exist in many cities. I grew up during immigrant waves and the Kray gang turf wars. I make general comments on these phenomena and leave the specifics to those who know them.

But surgery is the first ‘want’ on that long journey otherwise they would be transvestites and Tom boys and not want the full cut up.

It just isn't true. It's a commonly held myth. 72%% of trans men state they don't want surgery.

How many have you actually spent any time with and had them explain their emotions, motivations and intentions?

I've already stated some of the problems with transgenderism and why it's bad for society and shouldn't be promoted to kids. It's exceedingly obvious for a start and I can't help it if you can't read posts.

Anyone with half a brain can see it's anti-family and anti-tradition like the rest of its ideological stable mates. It encourages and promotes body dysphoria and anything that doesn't look to limit a mental illness isn't change for the better but deliberately harming children and the vulnerable.....it's child abuse.

Our world is filled with hypocrites, who themselves live socially conservative lives and benefit from the cohesiveness and stability that brings, yet we often find them promoting extreme social liberalism to children with the myth that any lifestyle is equal in worth. We say they are themselves engaging in lies and direct harm to the vulnerable. Some of them are too dim to realise that, some ideologically blind while others are so self absorbed and selfish that they simply don't really care.

That needs to be called out by anyone with a decent sense of morality.

You talk about an 'open mind', well you might as well have an open mouth because if you don't filter what goes into it then don't complain when it's filled with sh1te.

So only 28% should be allowed into women's changing rooms.

Then what would be the point of wrangling your way into women's biologically based safe spaces if you can't keep it???

Ohhhhohoh (expressed exclusively through a glottal stop), you terrible person Teddy! I pray for the day a woman is judged by the content of her character, not by the size of her c0ck.

'

In one short phrase we see why this attitude is so very wrong.

Transgenderism is not promoted to anyone. That the support and care that is provided these days is perceived as promotional is evidence of a very distorted attitude.

No one at all fails to see the stresses that someone within a family going through a transition places upon it. Which is why all involved need guidance and help.

It’s not anti-family to help families under strain. It’s not anti-society to educate society about some of its members.

Transgenderism is not a mental illness. Those who think that are more likely to be mentally ill than those transitioning.

This attitude is no better than those religious zealots who believe they can cure people of being gay.

A decent sense of morality moves with the times and depends on knowledge and education. It is not the morality of yesterday. A few yesterdays ago we burned witches and kept slaves.

The hypocrite is the one who pretends to care about society, but happily excludes part of it, seeking to impose their own outdated standards on the way.
