It also didn't happen in 5 mins (I know not literally). There's so much that that has to go on behind the scenes apart from just planning permission (both before and after this) that people don't realise. I saw someone post previously that Fulham has gone quicker than palace that's just frankly ridiculous. The Fulham stand is also very expensive even without bucks going bust

A victim of our management caution and fear of over stretching. Took too long, the world changed and everything went much more expensive.

Every indication is that the stand project is progressing.

What evidence do you have to contradict that?

How stupid will you feel when works starts?

Yes maybe couldve started slightly earlier but you don't always build straight after getting planning permission though. Have to develop design, tender the project etc. Not like we could've just cracked on and built as soon as PP granted

Depends which year you are talking about. My guess will be at least 2.5 from now. Look at Fulham.

Logically, selhurst park is in a really awkward location. The best bet is to start from scratch elsewhere.. trouble is, if the stadium was to be knocked down, the area would be a 5hit hole... nothing flash going up there... area just isn't desirable.

Crystal palace in a perfect world would be ideal..

£150m for the stand and if you run that over 30 years with say 8,000 in the stand then £62.5 per match per ticket.
I don't see that happening if we are relegated over those 30 years.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

If they break ground the day after the season is over then I would predict that the stand could be complete halfway through the season after next.

I stand to be corrected, but, I thought the new main stand was for 11,500?

I think the new stand will hold 13,500. The figure of 8000+ is the amount of the increase in overall capacity.
