Understandably it took time for Doucoure to settle into the pace and intensity of the Premier League.

He was playing on the stretch when trying to win the ball and got booked regularly. And lucky to stay on the pitch a few times.

He's improved under Roy and not committing to tackles he has little chance of winning.

I have high hopes for his continued improvement next season.

It’s Wilf, that make me wonder, of course we can only guess, but surely if he really wanted to stay with Palace, he could have made that decision by now. The latest rumour involves Athletico Madrid, if it’s true , and the monies good , only love would keep him in a Palace shirt, as it gives everything he supposedly ever wanted.
He and his people could do the club a favour and make a decision, but I suspect they wait for someone to trump any offer Palace have made. If that’s the case this will not conclude until the end of June.

The waiting game being played by Wilf and those advising him show this is about one thing only. Money.

Doubt he is that bothered about European football. This is his last big pay day and do you know what? Good for him.

But longer he leaves it maybe better for us. If he chooses not to accept our contract now and another club does not come in with the mega bucks he wants or indeed on the table from us, maybe worth us offering a less generous deal.

Mind you in general what really irks we is we allegedly have a policy of only offering reduced terms one year contracts once a player hits 30 We have lost good players like Kouate because of it. We appear to ignore that policy for Wilf.
