I keep seeing Marco Silva's name on the wind and today I saw another source stating it is between him and Favre in terms of the foreign candidates. At first I thought I was imagining it when I started thinking about him the other day, but I'm starting to think it is not that left field given he has PL experience and is out of work. Cooper's name seems to be most discussed. 50-50 at board level? If Everton do settle on Benitez, I hope we don't go back for Santo. I was keen, but after recent events he won't settle with us for long. He'd see us as a stepping stone. Fabre is a name that gets the old juices flowing, but still we're on tenterhooks. Driving us all barmy I can tell. At least we've got the fantastically exciting and majestic football of the Euros to distract us eh?

Football so sanitised that international football just seems like more of the same, but at a slightly worse standard as the players aren't as used to each other as club teams are. When you're older, you've seen it all before too. Particularly the England deja vu.

I told you, on the wind With regard to Silva my gut started twitching when SkyBet suddenly introduced him at 14-1, with it being followed by other betting firms in the last few days, some offering as low as 10-1. And then this morning on an article about Favre there is reference to Silva and Favre being the two contenders from someone with the name Chrissy Palace [Link] I haven't a clue, I was just adding to the other 200 pages of largely unfounded speculation. Do I want Silva? No.
