Wilder vs Fury is the hottest fight planned otherwise they wouldn't book it if their was no interest plus Wilder knows he beats him he can use the title he is true champ.

You are just another typical bloke who dont have a clue about boxing it's so laughable people that have never had anything to do with the game how they really dont have a clue.

how on earth is AJ ducking Fury?

Their paths have never crossed, Fury was not taken seriously until he shocked Klitschko while AJ was still building his way up, since then Fury went missing in the meantime AJ has become the best in the world. He fought Povetkin cos he was the mandatory challenger, Fury has got nothing to offer, he isn't a recognised challenger and he hasn't a belt, why does AJ have to go chasing Fury?

Such a dumb post, Fury failed a drugs test and blamed it on contaminated meat, so they stripped him of his belts. Nobody considers Fury the true champ.
Please tell me how AJ has avoided Fury, I thought Fury was the one who got banned, then came back and fought 2 bums, and wanted to fight another 2 or 3 bums before a big fight but cashed out with Wilder.
Not sure who mentioned that Rob Mccracken is a bad trainer but they know s*** about boxing. He's one of the best trainers in the world, look at what he's done with Froch and the GB team.
His last two fights he's trimmed down and shown he can go the full 12 rounds, looked noticeably lighter on his feet this fight and showed a new tool, the jab to the body similar to how floyd threw it.
He still has massive holes like no head movement and goes back in straight lines but he's proved hes number one in the world, just compare his resume to Wilders and Furys.

Let's not forget that Holyfield was really a cruiser....those Bowe fights were great but Bowe was just too big....Holyfield was at a large disadvantage against the best of the biggest.

Lewis was a similar story for him.

But at his size or a bit bigger he was something else.....He revenged the Moorer defeat and he had apparent heart issues at the time of the loss.

It all points to substances. No doubt Holyfield was a very good fighter but he never excited me. Just too workmanlike for my tastes. The idea of who is best is rather flawed in itself. If two boxers fought 10 times you might get a variety of results. Some boxers have their nemesis or they just go off the boil.
Ali was never as good after the suspension even though his most memorable fights were in that era. Tyson had similar problems and Lewis was lazy. Riddick Bowe had great potential but had no discipline. These guys are human beings in the end.

On Fury. He was a very useful boxer a few years ago but once again, his demons got the better of him. His performance against Klitschko was impressive albeit dull but the champ was looking old and Tyson all of a sudden had this half decent body shape. Hmmm! It was that meat you know.

The point being that the art of boxing is to out point your opponent, land more than you receive and be able to go the distance

You wax lyrical about Tyson when he was a slugger who rarely went the distance and only ever beat an opponent once on points

I get it. You don't rate Tyson. I have heard others say similar.
Tell me. Tyson or Holyfield. Who would you rather get in the ring with?

No question, Mike Tyson was more exciting than Holyfield.

As for Tyson Fury...I won't be watching his latest jab and move attempt against Wilder......He can't win on points over there....He lucked out in Germany as it was...I was amazed they scored the fight fairly.

I just see Wilder catching him.....and he'll be back to the booze and drugs.

Not saying I didn't rate Mike Tyson, the debate is about who would win in a match up and you seem to rate Tyson as the best of the best which is very debatable especially boxers from different eras. But going on facts alone, Tyson never proved he could go the distance, he only had one tactic, to bludgeon his opponent early. The facts support this

As for Lennox Lewis, yes he was a great boxer but a bit chinny as when he lost to McCall and Rahman, he never recovered from good shots, Joshua hasn't lost and he did get back up from a great punch from Klitschko to recover and win.

I think Lewis v Joshua is hard to call, yes Lewis is a better boxer and beat better opponents but could he take a power shot from Joshua like that upper cut v Klitschko? I don't think so

I think Tyson knocks out Lewis on a good day but Lewis could win if he uses his jab and leans on Tyson. Either fighter could beat the other at their peak I would think. Tyson knocks out Ali after the suspension because if Smokin' Joe could nail him then Tyson surely could. The question here is could the younger Ali dance for 12 rounds and avoid a peak Tyson. Larry Holmes got smashed but he was getting old. Maybe Holmes or Ali could use their brains and speed to outwit the young Tyson in their prime but I wouldn't bet on it. I'm sorry but AJ is not ready to be considered with that elite company just yet. He just isn't a natural boxer and looks average too often. AJ could catch Lewis with a good shot but that goes for any heavyweight with a punch. Let's re evaluate him again when he has had more fights.
The biggest plus for most modern heavyweights is their size but that said, they tire quickly and throw a lot fewer punches than the old guys. Lewis was big and clever. He would be my No.1 on a good day. Ali would be the best Heavyweight boxer but had no knockout punch. Joe Louis and Jack Johnson deserve a mention but that was a long time ago and not easy to compare.

The 'Brown bomber' was a favourite of my father and I recall him mentioning his fights with Jersey Joe Walcott and his last fight which was against Rocky Marciano.

My father really liked his boxing - I remember he said he went to the White City to see Don Cockell but Cockell was defeated early in the fight.Don't know his opponent - I must have been told but the years have dimmed the memory !

This one? God I love the internet.
"In September 1955 he lost to the Cuban, Nino Valdes at the White City Stadium by a technical knockout in the third round. He weighed 15 st 6 lbs for the fight."

Yes I believe this was the fight.
I remember him saying that he went all that way and it didn't last long !

well Ali did it to Foreman remember? Everyone thought Foreman would smash Ali into kingdom come but he had the infamous rope-a-dope strategy !

Foreman and Tyson, similar boxers, box them at distance, work the jab, wear them down in the later rounds
