Blah blah blah.

The guy who thinks he can tell you one moment to embrace change and then next thinks he can talk to traditional values.....what a clown.

Social liberalism has led to politicians not being able to define what a women is, gangs grooming raping underage working class girls kept quiet by Police and trannies teaching children in libraries.

Makes me sick.

Liberalism once stood for something worth its name....it's been perverted.

We don't need Putin to tell us about the degeneracy.....We don't needs its supporters to tell us about Putin.

The same people who talk about social liberalism want to ostracize people who disagree with them.....liberalism my arse.

If what I wrote was actually read, you will understand that what I was supporting was an extension of traditional values, not exclusively traditional values. I support change.

Social liberal values have led to many positive changes in a variety of aspects of life. Whilst that certainly includes removing stigmatising those who don't fit previous norms, it has nothing at all with the criminal activities of grooming gangs, or the failures, if any, of the Police response. That's just a mud slinging assertion, without any merit at all.

Liberalism is indeed a proud evolutionary process of the way society responds to its needs. As with all evolution, some turns will turn out to be cul-de-sacs, and a reversal made, but the direction of travel is clear.

I don't want to ostracise anyone. I want everyone to behave responsibly and, for those who do, to possess the same rights as everyone else. Which is to, individually or collectively, determine for themselves whom they associate with.

That's simply free choice in practice.

the Russians laugh about English Ports with English girls all getting impregnated by Sailors. A one-hour romantic relationship.

Sailors from some banana-republic who then allow the English taxpayer to pick up the childcare tab. Every girl in every Port in Every County.

That is what Putin has tapped into when he describes The West to his compatriots.

Plus all the degeneracy of people with Rights, righteous indignation, grievances a go go. A whole nation of cry babies. Nothing manly about the Western Man anymore. Too busy apologising for using the wrong pronoun to describe a woman with a beard.

Everything we wear, eat, sit on, or wipe our @rse with is manufactured in China. And apart from being lazy consumers and dole-heads what is the West good at ?

Putin reckons the West is dying from its own hypocrisy, and i tend to agree.

You acknowledged cheering Putin on in his Ukranian invasion. What is that if not the cheering on the murder of women and children?

Putin's Russia - great on family values of course - the lack of which is of course a Western disease.

I wasn't aware that because Putin makes valid observations on the sicknesses of social liberalism that this somehow meant that Russia doesn't have its own problems......though I have to make the comment that it's slightly ridiculous to talk about child abuse in Russia when this society covers up its own.

Japan is another society that is far better than western social liberalism, something provable in stats but which also suffers from sexual degeneracy.

Those observations are not though valid.

What the right seem completely unaware of is how they are being used by Putin.

Putin no more believes these things than he believes in God or the Flying Spaghetti Monster. He only believes in himself.

Putin looks for divisions in western society he can exploit and widen. He has been doing that via social media activity for years. It's been particularly successful with Trump supporters in the USA, which assisted in his contribution to getting Trump elected.

Putin just feeds back existing prejudices. The problem this gives at the moment is that because the right find themselves agreeing with these kinds of pronouncements on the "degeneracy" of the west, they get drawn into believing he is right in other ways too. This is particularly noticeable on some Trump supporting sites I continue to monitor. You can find it on Gab too.

It's sad when this phenomenon surfaces here too, even if only partially.

Apparently you know the mind of Putin.....just like you apparently know the mind of Trump.

Putin banned gay marriage in Russia and there's no knee bending or alphabet ideologies dictating the laws there. His immigration laws are also pretty right wing. But according to you he doesn't have any beliefs.....ok whatever.

Personally I think your fruit content has passed its cake's sell by date.

Oh and before anyone says I support Putin....I don't....he arrests and jails people for giving their opinions and calls people Nazis for opposing him....and that's far too Justin Trudeau for me.

Better than you, obviously. I listen and read genuine experts in their field, historians and people who have first-hand experience. In Trump's case, evidence is provided directly. He cannot shut up. Mix it all together and then the essence of the man can be distilled. Better that than the self-opinionated YouTube pop-up "experts on everything" that you seem to love so much.

Russia is undoubtedly a deeply conservative country, which suits the Putin regime very well, as it's much easier to keep it compliant. So they will reinforce that at every opportunity. Don't fool yourself that Putin does it out of any conviction. He does it because it suits him to do it. Just as his faux Christianity serves his purpose.

The gay marriage situation is a good example of that. It has never been legal in Russia, but this was challenged by a couple getting married abroad and trying to exploit a loophole in Russia to get it recognised there. That didn't go down well in conservative Russia, especially in the Church, so it was squashed. Keeping the people you seek to dominate on your side makes perfect sense.

Putin uses people, both at home and abroad. He doesn't serve them. There's not a sincere bone in his body, or honest word that escapes his lips. It's all calculated to deliver what is in his own best interests.

I realise you criticise him, but that doesn't stop him using your prejudices for his own purposes. Putin is devious, calculating, patient, determined and more than an intellectual match for the average "social conservative".

What Putin really thinks or doesn't think isn't important.

All that is important is that we don't get nuked and that he pays a military price in Ukraine.

However, I don't want cold war 2 as I think that's more of a disaster for us than you realise. At some point I want us to pull Russia away from China, with or without Putin.
