Watching the contribution of Indian people to the community from Cornwall.

Where over nine in ten people are white.

Many such cases.

Try visiting the hospital or a doctor's surgery here!

Who frigging cares what colour skin they have anyway. What matters is that they are competent.

Your constant references to "white" people is really offensive.

That wasn't my point. My point was that the Guardian was manipulating trade figures to suit it's agenda.

Actually after I wrote this piece a couple of days later an economist also rubbished the guardian article only he did it better than me.

A 4% drop in trade with Japan is not a disaster and the Guardian failed to point out the significant other factors that have impacted trade. They also failed to point out that Trade figures are notoriously unreliable and often subject to revision at a later date.

As I said in my original post I don't know if this is a good deal only time will tell.

They're reporting the news, with a bias, like every other publication does - you link hundreds of Daily Mail articles on here... you don't think any of those 'manipulate' figures to support their argument or come at things with a certain agenda? It's just a moot point.

I accept that the media is bias that doesn't mean that I can't point out an article that is pushing an agenda lot of people on this site do.

I'm always suspicious of government figures as they are produced by people under pressure from their political masters, but I guess you have to have some yardstick.

The economy has obviously shrunk and some sort of genius is required to restore our trading relationship with the EU and the USA and others who think we are a bit of a disaster.

The government, the opposition, thinking of a world where brexit is somehow beneficial, and can be adjusted by the UK, but no idea how, are delusional.

The CBI chief is I'm afraid with his forecast of another wasted decade, in touch with the reality of what the UK is facing.

You are obsessed with skin colour....that accounts for what, about 1 percent of genes but apparently 100 percent of your thinking on the matter.

With specific exceptions If someone isn't British they have no right to be here.

This country had world class medical staff long before the decision to import the cheaper versions were taken. The statistics on medical malpractice are actually higher amongst foreign qualified staff.

Regardless of the merit of the individual, as previously stated they should be working within their own countries systems and we should be training our own....In many cases these foreign medical staff are seriously needed in their own countries and it's a serious brain drain in them being moved here.

You will just have to evolve to understanding that white people exist and there is no shame or embarrassment referring to different races. You yourself have used the POC description so the offence at me using 'white' seems a bit hypocritical.

If that's offensive to you then you are very much in the minority.

You are the one obsessed by skin colour! Why else describe anyone as "white"?

We can argue what exceptions you think justify others being here another time but, for now, perhaps you would enlighten us by explaining why, if you mean "British", you use "white" to describe them?

In your mind what % of the British are "white"?

How do you describe those who aren't "white", but are still British?

Genetically I am 25% French, but both legally, and emotionally, I am 100% British. There will be others who genetically will be 100% African, but also are, both legally and genetically, 100% British.

Am I British because I have a pale skin, whilst those others aren't because they don't?

Is everyone who acquires British citizenship now British in your view, or only those with a similar skin tone to you?

We've always had world-class medical staff here. Just not enough to meet the demand. In many counties acquiring a medical degree is seen as a passport to a better life and a way for those trainees to help their families in their home country. The motivation to get trained is high. Some insist on a period of service locally before am exit visa is granted.

We don't have enough applicants here, or the training places available if we did. It cannot be the pay, which is high by any standards, It seems few are prepared to exist on a student maintenance loan for 7 years and end up with £100,000 of debt.

Is offended by someone else using 'white', then proceeds to use the term four times in the next nine lines.

Then proceeds to ask me a load of race based questions, which apparently he thinks I'm interested in discussing.

Sorry old bean, I'm just not as interested as you in constantly referring to race. Especially so with delusionists living in near totally white conservative Cornwall.

As for the medical stuff, it's just a lie to say we didn't have enough staff to meet demand, it's purely political choice......Besides, If you want more staff you pay the money and design the job role to attract the applicants. You are just making excuses to brain drain foreign countries.

POC had me scratching my head. Around 20 or more came up before I realised you probably mean "person of colour". Which if I did use would only have been to contrast you, or some like you, using "white". It's much less offensive than "white" or "black", though I somehow doubt you will see why.

Yes, I am in a tiny minority, but that doesn't mean I am wrong. It just means that I, and those who also see what I do, haven't yet convinced people. So for the time being such terms will continue to divide and offend. One day I hope they won't.

You are also in a minority politically, but no-one suggests that you should not make your arguments. The same applies to me. The difference though is that you hope to turn the clock back, whilst I am looking forward to when such terms are redundant.

These are just strawman arguments.

How you subjectively feel about a word is inconsequential to me. You use the words you want to and I'll use those I want.

While you are pretty much a troll I would never say you can't make your arguments. I've always supported free speech, whether I agree with the opinions or not.

As for my opinions being in the minority, I don't think they are.....Leave won Brexit on the immigration argument. I just think you just can't accept realities you don't like.
