As long as the fuel is supplied and thereís enough food to eat I think many wonít be too fussed. Many wonít be going potty because there isnít an abundance of choice including 12 different choices of every product in the supermarket. I canít remember how many thousand HGV drivers were on furlough. What weíre they delivering before furlough to be off work for 18 months?

Agreed with most of this. The majority of drivers who were furloughed were not delivering foodstuffs or fuel.

Is now OFFICIALLY retired.

Surely having less choice in the supermarkets isn"t something to vote for, it"s not progress at all! You certainly got a shock to the system-and its ongoing, probably not the shock you wanted! As for foreign drivers coming, or the "calvary," thank god for them! They won"t come cheap, so we both agree, they must be substantially rewarded for seeing bunters S.O.S and coming to our rescue! As for sucking it up, we both agreed today wqe wish them good luck, travelling to a foreign country to work! Fair play Rudi, fair play !

The future is leaving this country to be able to afford a home. A proper home. Actually thatís happening already. 330,000 per year. Yeah we need more and more.

I was. On an individual level. Not mass immigration every year. freedom of movement causes people in this country to leave because of this.

Glad to hear it Rudi.Yeah, I guess it does, but we have to remember they are then immigrants also, in some other country. Alas, good luck to them all, its quite a brave decision to live abroad.

Brave decision, yes. But because weíre making it unlikely to be able to afford to live here while in work? No.

Yeah, I can see more and more people sharing houses in the future, families living upstairs/downstairs, not ideal by any means but might be the way things are going.

One of the reasons I voted Brexit was for shocks to the system. One of them was cheap labour imported without a care of the effects. The other was to get all parties to move focus on manufacturing and how we can prosper with the products wanted abroad. The former is going to happen. So suck it up.

Due to poor government planning it looks like we've exchanged it for expensive labour imported without a care of the effects.

As for housing, certainly immigration plays a part in that, however the number of houses built even without that is pitiful.

I think we need to accept that government prefer and indeed intended (and still intend) for housing prices to spiral out of control. Cheap Llabour (more often from outside of the EU) will continue, and there will be no meaningful effort to build enough houses to make a dent in demand.

They are pushing for a renter nation. That's not a criticism of Brexit mind you, and this is I expect the intention whether in or out of the EU. Other than what Brexit symbolically means to people, I have come to think that the government and their mates will do all that can be personally profit from the changes it brings, and nothing of substance or benefit will filter through to Joe Public. As per usual.
